Anime Thread. [Prob not 56k safe]

Kimi ni Todoke was very cute and sweet; I enjoyed the first episode, and I'll likely keep following it. It has a lot of spot comedy, but it seems overall to be a romance. It's a pretty well done, the characters are reasonably shy but not so bad you want to kick them in the head (yet). It's early though, so they may go back to awkward dancing in the next episode. That will be kind of annoying. But it's surprisingly entertaining so far.

Sasameki Koto was alright too, there's potential there. It does look like it's going to be sad with a happy ending fare. It is an interesting examination of a subject usually left to fanservice and fan stories...

Darker than dark 2 was pretty good but no point in giving my opinion since everyone and their mom will watch the show lol.

I actually just watched this as well. For this type of anime, was kind of weird seeing their relationship progress so fast, it definitely wasn't a bad thing though. Not too sure if I like the animation style though, some of their faces looked really weird, but I will probably keep watching it.

Yeah, I'm having a hard time seeing how this is going to play out... normally they spend the whole season trying to figure out what love is. The animation doesn't bother me though, I've already gotten used to it by watching Lovely Complex.

I guess I'll watch Sasameki too...

my biggest problem it'll only be 12 ep series with I believe 3 ova to bridge the gap between season 1 and 2. Would have been a better idea if they cut the ova and do what most 24 series do *Current events->Flash back-> Flash Forward to current events*

If by "difficult" you mean "one day after the DVD comes out in Japan", sure.

1st episode of this new season, Gemini of the Meteor? well either way, so far I think the new season explains just enough to make sense to new people, but if you start from the first season, it's just awesome. In the first season, they'll have more story of some of the chars shown in s02e01 that they didn't explain there.

I watched this new episode, loved it, and then hated that I have to wait for the next episode D: I'm considering to let it build up, avoid spoilers, and then watch it in bulk...

I can't believe some of you don't see why J.C.Staff doing this

-They need a successful IP and most of their previous ones had moderated success compared to Shaft, Kyoto and Bones etc.
-This stuff can easily drive a successful IP in JP now.
-Action and story structure was never J.C.Staff strong point but comedy and fanservice is.

So far J.C.Staff method has been right on the money as it's already a hit in the rating and 2ch (not to series that appeal to whole demographic in JP of course) which will guarantee a second season and big money from the merchandise.

of course people have valid complains but If it means going through fanservice episodes before story arcs I'll accept it.

I'm still watching it, it is very funny at times. I just enjoy some story too.
