I figured it was always just something random, possibly associated with them somehow. Doesn't have to be negative or positive. For example

Also the To Aru series is far better when Touma and Biribiri are interacting.

I know her rumination was that she aged backwards, but a rumination was defined as something the person detested or found to be demeaning(something along those lines). I mean, I guess she could have hated being a kid, but it still seemed sorta odd. Defying the laws of the world and actually growing younger. That and whatsherface, the black chick who controlled the rain liked her rumination. Though I suppose its extremely easy to begin to like alcohol after hating it for obvious reasons.

rain bitch's (i'm great with names) rumination is drinking which she does even when she doesn't use her abilities so yea

pretty sure it stated somewhere that it was something they hated as the rumination.

as far as Suou making origami, maybe she has a reason to hate them. idk, looking at wiki it doesnt say much about ffacts about the ruminations, just that most are hard for the contractor to accomplish.
Chinese blood guy got lucky. his rumination was what enabled him to use his ability. No idea how he managed to not die of blood loss though.
Liked the guy who couldnt tell a lie.

[He is not a contractor and thus has no rumination. The power he has (or had as of this last ep) came from his sister. Still not exactly sure how he got her powers however.

not sure. was definately the 2nd half of the season. I wanna say it might have even been one of the last few episodes. at the very least it happened after Amber started making appearances.

Either somebody took over Yin's body, she developed a second personality, or yeah something bad. In the BSS subs, they stressed the last word: Yin.. I ... I will kill "her." While it looks like he was talking only about Yin in that sentence, I think the "her" refers to someone else, maybe the same person Mao was talking about in the earlier scene. He referred to a Her, when Hei asked who he belongs to.

Hei's powers are explained somewhat in the last few episodes of S1, even though it doesn't exactly make sense lol. I just go with it. And yea, the remunerations are random, some of them are related to the characters pretty much to throw in some irony to the story, but it doesn't really follow a standard.

Things I noticed:
-Tanya is the only contractor who seems to pay before using her power.
Pretty sure the amulet ate Pi to give the girl a contractor power.
-The girl does not own Pi now because she has a payment whereas Pi takes the payment for Hei.
-I'm 99% sure Hei meant he was going to kill Yin not some other woman, mostly due to Mao's shock.
-Mao is a pimp, but way better as a black cat than as some flying squirrel thing.
-July just followed Hei and the girl to be with someone familiar after Hei killed April, which is just wholly depressing.
-DtB is the only show where there can be a nude girl for a completely plausible reason in it without the entire cast comically mentioning "OMGZ FANS LOOK ITS A NAKED FEMALE!"

-Technically, the blood guy pays his remuneration before activating his power.
-It's probably a side effect, since the forcefield function was to eliminate contractor's power, but the amulet reacts and took the power instead.
-Dolls probably doesn't have emotions to begin with, and with both the MI6 agent eliminated by Hei, he doesn't exactly have purpose, and July is probably attracted by Suou's contractor power since he basically just aligned himself with her once she awaken to her power.

-DtB is the only show where there can be a nude girl for a completely plausible reason in it without the entire cast comically mentioning "OMGZ FANS LOOK ITS A NAKED FEMALE!"

I need some recomendations. I'm currently watching Naruto: Shippuuden and FMA: Brotherhood but I need something else to fill the void. I downloaded FairyTale from Taka last night and watched it and it seemed alright, but too early to tell for me. I like the typical Adult Swim Animes (Bebop, Outlaw Star, GITS, Trigun, etc..) but I'm looking for something that comes on between Monday (FMA usually released) and Friday (Naruto). Any suggestions? Thanks.
