I really didn't think Nyan Koi was going to be a harem anime.

I actually thought she was a girl at first as well, and then they said "he" and confused me. =/ The split second they showed her as a "normal girl" and having a bunch of characters from Saki was pretty funny though, picture was posted a few days ago I think.

I am still not sure it's going to be one completely anyways but could be at this rate. And ya that picture was shown in preview I think, it was still funny.

Other than Darker than Black, I'm in love with Kimi ni Todoke at the moment. I haven't watched such a good shoujo show in a while. If I were to compare to another show it would be Honey and Clover (consider how much I loved H&C it's a huge compliment).

Season 1 had the misfortune of being in the same season as Gurren Lagann.

Nobody talks about anything beside gurren lagann that season.

I remember claymore being talked about very often during that time as well. I remember talking about Seto no Hanayome (yes!) and Nanoha StrikerS (urgh) a fair bit as well.

Things I noticed:
-Tanya is the only contractor who seems to pay before using her power.
Pretty sure the amulet ate Pi to give the girl a contractor power.
-The girl does not own Pi now because she has a payment whereas Pi takes the payment for Hei.
-I'm 99% sure Hei meant he was going to kill Yin not some other woman, mostly due to Mao's shock.
-Mao is a pimp, but way better as a black cat than as some flying squirrel thing.
-July just followed Hei and the girl to be with someone familiar after Hei killed April, which is just wholly depressing.
-DtB is the only show where there can be a nude girl for a completely plausible reason in it without the entire cast comically mentioning "OMGZ FANS LOOK ITS A NAKED FEMALE!"

Well they pulling all the stops to make sure this become a successful Anime. I was really hopeful they wouldn't animate this storyline, oh well looks like I'm skipping this weeks episode.

Just finished watching Index and...it has potential...but it didn't really deliver how I wanted it to. The battles were fairly sparse and the characters/interactions I enjoyed didn't seem all that common. I like Touma as a main character a lot though. I guess I'll just have to watch more of the series but it seemed so lame to have the setup for all this huge action and the season ends before anything big even begins to occur, lol.

I wonder how I'll enjoy Railgun, I like Kuroku and Misaka, but I'm not sure I'll enjoy it if it's ALL just fucking around with lesbian/sex jokes.

I'd say watch episode 1,2 and 4 (3 is pretty weak stand alone episode) if you enjoy the tune of the series or not.

Right now RailGun going by the Stand Alone arc's(beside episode4) that's flushing out the girls back-story, Hell episode 5 which is chapter 18.5 (if i remember right) I find hilarious since the author doesn't feel it's good enough chapter for it's own number but J.C.STAFF think it deserve it's own episode.

Basically, what are some of your favorites? I can deal with most Genres.

Thus far, my own personal favorites are:

Ergo Proxy
Evangelion

Thanks a bunch. Downloading Gurren Lagaan now. Seen Last Exile, Death Note (and the Live-Action movie, which I think ended in a better place than the Anime), Code Geass, and NHK, and some of the others from the list you linked.

If you liked Last Exile, then you would probably like Eureka Seven as well. They're very similar I think.

Also, Code Geass had the best ending of any Anime I've ever seen. The series was only a few changes from being among the best IMO.

Edit: I can't believe I forgot to mention Yasuhiro Yoshiura's works Time of Eve, Pale Cacoon, and Aquatic Language. None of these are a major time investment, but they are all worth looking for. You can stream them for free at Crunchyroll.com (Aquatic Language is listed as "Mizu no Kotoba")

Can't go wrong with Gurren Lagann. I don't know anyone who hated the show...and even you do, it's referenced so many time in other shows that it can't be bad idea to watch it
