shinsen's translation quality should be very good, at least on the projects their lead translator is handling - he knows his shit (Cyprene), he's a total douchebag but he knows his shit.

my enmity for them stems from their lack of quality in other areas, as well as their leader (Vincent)'s..attitude.

i'm in SpoonSubs, and we're subbing Hakaba Kitarou, which shinsen is also doing. we hadn't released episode 1 yet but it got accidentally announced on an IRC bot in a channel vincent was in, the pack got locked because it wasn't supposed to be released, but vincent used his admin access on the irc bot to download it anyway.

From your previous post, I thought you were bitching about quality. Guess I can understand that.

I personally don't like their sub quality or some of their translations. It's not bad or anything really, but stuff like translating Veda as Vader is sorda -.-. It bothers me as they don't say Vader. Other stuff seems pretty accurate, I just like Conclave/Mendoi more.

The part where the main character in Manabi Straight starts freaking out and does squat uppercuts is probably the funniest part of the series (the way she hits that other girl over and over again is hilarious).

Also the art style in MS owns, at least it's animated nicely as well.
