Anime Thread. [Prob not 56k safe]

I never watched Ah My Goddess for realistic romantic progression, geez. It's a sweet story with some funny bits. There's the first season, then Sorezore no Tsubasa or something? the second season, and, in the same "continuity" if you will, the Fighting Wings OVA (which is fairly recent, compared to the others). Then there's the original OVA from befrore the anime which is a compressed telling of the story, and a movie which I've never been able to figure out the placing of.

I have to admit, the first season of Clannad didn't really get me that much; there's an alt-universe OVA (which should be watched afterwards) about Tomoya and Tomoyo which was, in some ways, better than the first season entirely. But it is necessary to get to After Story, and After Story is not to be missed. Period. An INCREDIBLE story.

Just don't expect that to extend to other Key animes, as discussed ad nauseum.

Still, no anime I've watched has really enthralled me as much as Honey and Clover. It's not something you want to watch if you want a fairytale happy ending, or quick resolutions (or, in some cases, any resolution at all - a LOT is left dangling). Maybe my standards aren't up to some of yours, but it really feels like a certain number of years excised from these characters' lives.

That being said, it does NOT just leave you hanging like so many shows do -- where all of a sudden "OMG SMOOCHSLURPGROPE" the end bye happens.

So... with the ending of Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, has anyone seen mention of another season? I feel like I could probably watch this ridiculous nonsense forever. It's absurd, I know nothing will ever come of it, but I love it. Shaft animation doesn't hurt, either...

I can't find the second season, what sub group did it? I jut keep getting episodes 1-13 torrents.

Just need to know where to look, BakaBT is probably best place to find batch torrents.

The show is kinda stalling for me, but season 3 still had awesome scenes.

I loved the first arc, and every scenes with these 2. Sadly, it didnt deliver as much as I was hoping. Story never wnet anywhere (2-3episodes arc only), and way too many girls for one guy again...

At least, it's funny and there is still some great dialogue.

I liked the Mayoi Snail episodes as well, the whole arc really drove home the point they were trying to make about the character, so the pay off at the end was awesome. And Senjougahara is an awesome character, no matter what. Least favourite was the monkey one, though the fight scenes were awesome when the animation got down to it.

I see no School Rumble, Dannou Coil, Azumanga Daioh, Kurenai or Ichigo Mashimaro(maru?). Hmm, Honey and Clover like discussed earlier or Kimi Ga Nozomi Eien? Maybe even some uhh Kare Kano? Was that the right one? It's one about a guy who moves back home and falls in love with his sister. I know it's incest, but it's tasteful, not hentai and very dramatic.

Edit: Aha, Koi Kaze. I seriously don't remember what Kare Kano is.

Kare Kano is almost standard shoujo, kinda hard to describe it without hitting about 5 other series with the same theme.

Well yeah, most of the private tracker sites do this. Generally good idea to upload 1.5x more than you downloaded afterward, in case you need to do what you described.

I'm a little surprised they actually tried to give some plot to this, despite it being retarded and basic, so pass for me.

Dam I don't think I stop laughing for the whole OVA, it's just blast watching this and Hellsing Ultimate Ep7 in the same day.

Hellsing Ultimate is amazing it sucks the release is so slow, but Utawarerumono is good series, and the OP's just make it so much better! =D

Need new suggestions for anime anyone?

I suggest backtracking a few pages, there's at least a list of recommended anime every 3 pages or so.

Edit: Or at the very least, give us something to go on.

Not picky on type enjoy them all, Something off radar i guess thats decent, seen almost all the popular anime's / newer stuff. Just looking for a list of suggestions so i can view and browse. =D
