I never watched the anime for Chobits, but I've read all the manga and I didn't think it was too bad.

Though really, the best part about Chobits is Chi's on/off switch.

Nah, that's not the problem. There is story far more girly that are better.

Episode 1: Artificial setting and uneeded sexual reference to draw the hentai crowd.
Episode 2-10: Overdone slice of life. It's cute at first, but get old pretty damn fast
Episode 11-12: Makes it look like something is about to happen and fail to deliver (they couldnt think of something more dramatic than a peepshow?)
Episodes 13-23: Back to slice of life, spiced up with some retarded love triangle that make you rage since every characters are fucking retarded.
Episodes 24-26: They stack up nonsensical plot twists (worst one is the landlord thing). Every explanations they give are underwhelming, and the whole thing failled at offering something epic or dramatic.

No, it's not the worst anime anime ever, far from it, but I don't think it deserve any praise. It's just a rehash of typical anime stuff with unidimentional character. It could have been so much better. The pacing was quite off as well, with huge filler between tiny bit of story.

I hated it, They ruined it with their atrocious animation and bad writing.If you want a solid remake you put your A team on it, not this half ass attempt.

I think So Ra No Wo To steers a bit clear of the K-on moe blobs but sometimes goes back to it. Interesting way to introduce like a towns mythos in also (replicated tomato tossing festival). I liked the first episode, will be on my winter list to watch.

Himatsubushi did the first episode subbing of it.

Ya it had a pretty interesting start, and Music, and scenery were very well done, though the ED theme caught me a bit off guard[though nothing will ever quite shock me like the needless ED theme did]

The art style looks really interesting in Katanagatari, I guess I will add that to my watch list as well.

edit: Just watched the first episode of So Ra No Wo To and was very impressed. Only one episode in and I already like it more than K-on. Definitely unique, I really have no idea what kind of story this is going to follow and as mentioned already, amazing animation, sound, etc.

Kinda disappointing though that Sora No Woto looks to be drama/moe mostly, whereas K-on! is originally a 4-panel comic so it had a lot of humor in it. Making the series quite different from each other. I'm sure SNW will be a good watch this season though, going to be keeping with it. I sure wasn't expecting to see any real fantasy element to it, wonder where that'll go.

Oh and lol at the Mugi copy.

Not sure what to make of Sora no Woto. Music, Slice of Life military, drama, then you have the legend of the town and the people look like the main characters - could end up being supernatural/fantasy if they relive the legend? I hope so because that would be way more interesting.

Also, why so much hate for Ladies vs Butlers? They are adapting the novels, if you can't handle it then don't watch. It's obviously not aimed at you.

Just watched the first episode of Chu-Bra. My mind just went though a reformat phase from it. The story is not really that good. Starting a first episode with a rumor that the main char is a prostitute is not a good way to go. And normaly I like fanservice (love hina grade) and rockets it to the moon with the sorta lesbian moments (lesbian are nice dont get me wrong), and mixing it with a loli style is not what I am looking for in an new anime for the season. The only good thing from it was the way they showed the next episodes preview.
