Spice and Wolf: Is the dub any good? 99% of the time, I don't give dubs a chance because American voice actors tend to suck horribly (Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Shamploo seem to the be the only exceptions that I've seen), but my normal torrent sites don't have good copies of subbed version.

Is the dub version good? If not, can someone link me to a good torrent for the subbed?

Is watching Claymore worth it if I've read all of the manga? (twice, at that ;p)

It's incredibly faithful to the manga for about 20-22 episodes, after that it diverges and goes off on a tangent. So I'd watch it up to there, since it's nice seeing some of the fights animated, since a lot of the really good ones are somewhat better in the anime.

This topic makes me want to read Kurenai. Are the novels translated yet? I remember when I asked a while ago (after Kurenai finished) the answer was a solid no. But now, perhaps they are. At the very least, I'll read the manga.

season 2 isn't dubbed cause it's recent, so i'd say watch the subbed version just so the characters don't suddenly switch on you. lawrence's dub VA actually seems really good for the part, but holo's is so-so. i'm not really elitist about dub voices though so i imagine someone somewhere is raging over both lol

as for torrents, i streamed it but if you find a good one lemme know

I was reading B Gata H Kei, since I have no idea what this manga about, beside it's ridiculous primes. Have to say I expected something along the line as KissXsis but it's fanservice was tamed and funny, definitely will give the Anime a chance.

since I'm bored I want to explain some weird comments I'm seeing over the Anime forums on This episode and I'm doing this for my personal enjoyment (Thanks Bak Blog for some of the pictures and Info on Uiharu’s powers from the staffs interview).

1-Why did Uiharu pretending like the flowers on her head don’t exist?

It's simply a joke by the Staff, if you read the Novel she detached a hibiscus flower from her hair band and gave it to Last Order, so all theories about it being connected to her powers is false.

2-What is Uiharu’s Power?

No one knows, but apparently Toyosaki Aki and the rest of the cast were finally told by Kamachi and the producers about Uiharu’s powers.Of course despite already knowing what her ability is, they didn’t disclose any further details.

3-Why did J.C.STAFF screw up the Time Line by letting Touma Meet Misaka before Sister Arc?

it’s obvious Touma has lost his memories, so we can assume he fails to recognize her as the girl at the Tokiwadai Festival, perhaps on the basis that Misaka looks very different in her uniform compared to when she’s dressed up.

4-Misaka's playing the violin? Why?

Firstly Yes Misaka can play the Violin it's in the novel, but why it was introduced this early? Look Like the writers are setting up this epilogue for when Misaka teachs Uiharu to play the violin Later in Index Season 2.

5-Whats Point of seeing the Whole Tokiwadai Dorm?

The RailGun cast are interact with places that will play a significant role later in Index series.

On the surface it may look like another pointless Joke by the Staff, but it's a reference to the Sister Arc, when Touma found the Level 6 Tree Diagram inside Misaka's Teddy Bear.

They ran low on budget around the last 2 episodes of the original series, so the final 2 episodes are terribad. The movie End of Evangelion is the ending that was supposed to be.

Re: story/plot heavy anime

Bokurano (not to be confused with Boccano) is all story and characters. There's a touch of action, but it's really only a backdrop for getting the story across.

Last two episodes were confusing as fuck. I didn't like how the series ended either. Going to watch the You Are Not Alone movie now that I finished the series, lol.

I don't know, but the whole conversion with Dead Corpse was nothing short of amazing, it gave me chills on how this Moe show became so serious by showing the effect of war, the development for the characters and the setting.

I'm wondering if Them refers to Alien invaders? Human technology looked pretty advanced, but then they all got blown away by a lazer beam lol.

Yeah but...there's also a fair chance a lot of this stuff will be unexplained. And I usually don't like series that leave you with lots of questions/speculation. There are 5 episodes left and all we have are questions and we don't even know what the problem to overcome is going to be. I mean it's theorized from ep1 some one-winged demon will rise and need to be defeated by the 5 maidens, but there's so much they'd have to shove into 5 episodes to really delve into all these things, I can't help but be worried I may not get what I want from the end of the series. Unless they open it up for a possible S2...

I dont think we will see them at war, but we will probably get a more serious episode near the end. It would be poor hyping if they never do anything more than slice of life with the first episode and this one.

There wont be fighting, and w/e issue there is, it will be solved with music, I can bet you that.

You can watch MF if you haven't seen the other series. As for what order, I'd go (based on what I've seen and like):

Dennou Coil > Eden of the East > Wolf and Spice > Hellsing Ultimate > Gungrave > Index > Railgun.

Though, I wouldn't watch the last two at all.

I would say Gungrave > Hellsing > Eden > WS > Don't watch Index/Railgun.

I haven't seen Dennou Coil.

I think the idea is to sell enough OVA to guarantee a TV series or more OVA, if they cover anymore of the Manga, a TV series would be nothing more than fillers, of course that depends on the content of the OVA.

Off topic on the which anime are good dubbed issue Sylvrdragon asked about, Darker than Black, Mushishi, and Full Metal Alchemist and Black Lagoon are also on the list of anime that are good dubbed. Hell I personally like DtB and Black Lagoon more when dubbed, but that's just my personal preference.
