Anime Thread. [Prob not 56k safe]

I was reading up on an epic fight in WoW when I came across this guy. The similarities between him and the Anit-Spiral are ridiculous. I doubt details of the encounter would interest anyone that doesn't play WoW, but look at the names of the moves. The story-line behind the battle is also eerily (and probably intentionally) similar to TTGL.

I agree there is little reason to watch it if you played the game before, but if you haven't, it's still a good anime. I can't comment how close it is from the source (I need a ps3 still >_>), but the story at least stand on its own. The characters and plot make sense, which is better than many animes series.


I'm curious about one thing though, is there any "death" in the game, or they changed that in the anime? That was pretty damn sad and unexpected, especially since it was one of my favorite character.

About Alicia being a tsundere, you could say that for a few episodes early (usually when she was teased by a 3rd party), but after episode 10, she is relatively straightforward with her feeling. Unless you're pushing the definition, I don't think it describes her very well.

And she doesnt sound anymore like Kana anymore. Well, she probably does, but not as much as when I watched both series at the same time.

Isara dies in the game, but I think she's the only key character that actually dies in the story. Technically all of your squad can die if they are incapacitated and don't get rescued in time.

Best part of Valkyria Chronicles game ending is getting to see Welken as a teacher and Alicia as a baker, and Alicia's little girl.

And the epilogue shows what everyone does after the war, like Largo and Eleanor getting married.

Seriously if you haven't played the game yet you should buy a PS3 and find a copy, outside the story (which was great), it's one of the best games I've ever played.

Kobato ep20 was interesting, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle cast make a cameo appearance, it was fun seeing them for absolutely no reason, beside giving Kobato some confidence and a different ending theme was used for this one.



PS it events takes after the end of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle Manga and not during the feather fetch.

Damn, I wanted an happy ending for everyone... Unexpected death suck .

I finally had time to complete the last few episodes. The ending was a bit generic, but it had to be expected since it's based on a video game, and they needed a traditional "last boss". It was still decent though.

Yeah, the ending is super generic, but I think the epilogue more than made up for it, especially if you had a set squad of ownage that you took everywhere with you. Good to see what everyone did after the war.

Most characters got 10-20 seconds in the anime, it was a bit too short for my taste. I don't know why so many animes series do that, epilogue are nice.

My biggest complaint about the show would be the lack of screen time the "bad guy" had. Selveria and Radi barely were interesting, but I feel they could have done more with both of them. At least, Radi survived this mess.
