Kami no Mizo Shiru Sekai Manga Gets Anime Green-Lit

This year's 19th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine is announcing on Wednesday that an anime adaptation of Tamiki Wakaki's Kami no Mizo Shiru Sekai (The world god only knows) romantic comedy manga has been green-lit. A footnote at the end of the 94th manga chapter in that issue has further announced that the manga is taking a one-issue break due to work on the anime and novel adaptations.

The manga centers on Keima Katsuragi, a high school boy who is known as the "Capturing God" for his success at romance simulation games. However, thanks to a contract with a devil, he now has to capture the hearts of real girls to catch the runaway spirits hidden in those hearts.

The manga has been running in Weekly Shonen Sunday since 2008, and the eighth compiled book volume will ship on April 16.

First episode of Angel Beats is subbed on Animecrazy.net. Has anyone watched it yet? For the most part the subs make sense, but then some of them are completely outrageous to the point I have no idea what is going on in the ep. Can anyone verify this please? lol (I don't know who subbed it)

Also, I am really looking forward to The World God Only Knows anime^^

I enjoyed this first episode of Angel Beats, but it wasn’t exactly as amazing as it looked, but depending on the degree to which this series takes itself and If all the right elements are pulled off right, this anime could be a real hit despite the first episode's pacing issue.

Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou, is better than expected, Will be waiting to see how the next episode turns out.

I have to agree with these comments. Found Angel Beats to be some what confusing plot, forgettable characters, and not too interesting. On the flipside, Ichiban Ushirono no Daimaou is quicker paced, funny, and a tiny bit echi.

So I've started to watch Railgun...

I'm really enjoying this show more than I thought, especially since I've read comments of ecchi-ness and such. I actually laugh at Kuroko quite a bit, she's done well and while yeah she has some annoying parts I like her a lot more than other characters of her type. Also, the extra bits of info about Toma are interesting, I didn't really grasp how special people considered him. I hope there's more and more of him in the show.

the level bullshit is just...bullshit really

i mean misaka went on a speech on how even level 5 started off as a level 1, but accelerator's flashback showed him having that ungodly power even as a kid.

Not to ruin too much of it for you, but he is hardly seen or even mentioned in Railgun. The difficult part is to understand that two stories are expanding at the same time, therefore, there will be a time when Toma knows about Mikoto and then later, he doesn't.

Ok, it's been over 2 months since Fate/Stay Night: UBW was released in theaters in Japan. Any word on a DVD release so we can get a subbed version already?

While I'm on the subject of movies, is the second Eden of the East movie out yet and available subbed? Sucks to marathon a series like I did only to have it stop suddenly with no closure.

Just watched the Eden of the East movie and I really did not want it to end. I didn't know it wasn't complete, when is the next part supposed to come out?

Also anyone know other anime like Eden of the East? I forgot how much I loved it.

Hate to ask such a generic question, but in the past 2 years has anything really good action wise come out? I like a lot of stuff, but favorites of mine are Kenshin, Gungrave, Death Note, Rahxephon, FMAB, Geass, Soul Eater, I'm sure you get the picture.

The last new series I downloaded was Casshern sins, if that's a timeframe for anyone. I'm open to any suggestion, really. Also, any good new series this year worth checking out?

Same time frame? not sure but here some good ones.

Darker than Black(Season one/two and Unfinished OVA series).
Basilisk.
Durarara(episodes still being aired but worth checking out).
Hellsing ultimate(7 OVAS are out right now but Unfinished).
Kara no Kyoukai Movie 1-7
Full Metal Panic (Season one/two and fumoffu).
Gundam Unicorn(Unfinished OVA series)
Gurren Lagann(TV series and two movies)

Unfinished just mean that episodes are still being made

seriously though, judging on past animes, he should be leaning towards Bleach, Naruto, or Dragon Ball Kai. I would recommend as a follow up for Eden of the East, would be Tokyo Magnitude 8.0. If he wants to move outwards, then he should explore from recent and popular anime:

Goofy Harem Comedy: Nyan koi
Slice of Life: K-ON!
Dramatic Fantasy: Spice and Wolf (or Wolf and Spice, depending where you see it), Durarara!!
Mecha: Gundam 00, or Full Metal Panic
Fantasy Adventure: Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood (that FMAB in your list?)
Comedy Drama: Clannad
Drama: Clannad After Story
