Was/is Katanagatari action-oriented? I think Sacred Blacksmith was as well, but I don't know what the overall opinion on either of those is/if they've been purposely left out.

One fight per 40 minutes episodes. There is more talk than fighting, but the fight scenes are still kinda cool.

K-on! season 2 was a good opener. The OP Sounds chipmunky not because its sped up or the pitch is raised, but the instruments are hitting high notes at the same time as Aki Toyasaki.

Yui reminded me a Botan throughout the episode with her "Puhi puhi!"

Katanagatari has some pretty cool action scenes. It's about collecting these 12 legendary swords and a lot of them (or all of them?) are owned by skilled swordsman, so there's bound to be even more fights.

That thing looks like that little pre-evolved piggy looking pokemon. Can't remember it's name but it evolves into a wooly mammoth kinda thing.

Did CoalGuys release a troll sub of K-On out? The translation seems terrible. The OP lyrics was a Christian song talking about the wrath of God and stuff, then they had more TL notes than translation for a part, and when they were looking at a list for who was in what class for the year they were like "OMG SOMEONE PUT OUR NAMES UP THERE, THAT'S AN INVASION OF PRIVACY!" or something similar, lol.

    CoalGuys? You mean TrollGuys, right?
That's pretty much what they are known for.

Yeah, that's why I figured it was a troll and stopped watching. But most of the Coalguys subs I've had up until this point have been good...or at least I thought they were.

I was suspicious of Coalguys hearing that they put out that shitty Angel Beats sub, but I listened through the speed subs that are out and they are ok.

I have Coalguys copy and haven't watched it through but the subbing of the OP is good.

I have some CG files, I didn't know they were all about trolling, since the subs I used before were good. When did this happen?

I finally gave in and watched all 12 episode of durarara (I was holding on the episode for a big marathon at the end of the series). Just like baccano, this show is perfect. The beginning was slow, but once thing start falling in place, I just couldn't stop watching. I wish more anime were like this...great graphics, great characters, original plot...only thing that was lacking was a good soundtrack imo.

So a friend of mine just finished Code Geass. At the start, he's like "This isn't bad.. and there's logic to what they do." I admit I laughed out loud when he said "Code Geass" and logic. So by time he finished it, he was like "What..the fuck?" Totally priceless.

It doesn't take much to derail a train. Code Geass was relatively "logic" most of the time, for an anime at least.

Ok, so I just started watching Index. I'm 4 episodes in and... well... the amount of senseless, cliche', melodramatic dialog is absolutely migraine inducing. Out of nowhere, for no apparent reason, Touma starts screaming and ranting about justice and friendship and protecting this random girl that he just met the day before without knowing a goddamn thing about her situation.

Even after it's explained to him that (Wall of text rant incoming)
    Spoiler: show
, not only are the magicians not her or his enemy but also, they are actually trying to save Index's life, he STILL insists on screaming a bunch of nonsensical bullshit about how they're wrong for what they're doing, etc etc etc.

The fault isn't all his though! No no no, cause here we have these 2 genius magicians who already know that Index doesn't remember them and, in fact, mistakenly perceives them as enemies. So what do they do? They chase after Index brandishing a fucking 5 foot long Katana and throwing fireballs, and just acting like all around douchebag idiots.

The way I see it, the whole fucking situation thus far could have, and SHOULD have, been resolved by the magicians approaching Index and/or Touma in a leisurely manner and discussing the situation over a fucking cup of coffee. Seriously, the entire conversation between Touma and that katana bitch could have been had in regular tones sitting in a booth at a cafe. She could have easily explained the circumstances and he could have shared his opinions in the form of constructive criticism with the intent of actually improving the situation... but no, instead it was shouted at the top of his lungs in the middle of the street with no forethought and ended up with him left in the middle of the road bleeding and unconscious.

The first episode showed so much promise. It introduced the main character and the world he lives in in an interesting and fun way. Unfotunately, before we're even brought up to speed on what's NORMAL for this new world, we're thrown into some shit-storm of events and introduced to concepts that are strange even for the residents of this already strange world. What's more, the main character apparently has some sort of social disorder in which he develops irrational bonds with people he just met and knows nothing about...

I'm gonna give it a few more episodes in hopes that whoever wrote these last couple episodes was tared, feathered, drawn, quartered, and set on fire in a pit of AIDS.

Thank you for summing up my feelings about Index. Maybe it gets better, but I couldn't get past episode 5 or 6.

Seriously, K-ON would be so much better if they never allowed Toyosaki to sing.
Even the new ED by Hikasa is really weak compared to the first one

First ED is great, second ED isn't as good, but it isn't as bad as the OPs (both of them suck).
