And adults could be out somewhere else, no? This is set in Academy City, it's a place for students and younger crowds, logically the ones who are no longer students would move out and go someplace else right? And the ones that don't stick around to join AntiSkill/Judgement or teach.
It seems so obvious now that you say it >.<

I suppose it could be the case that other five level 5s could very well be adults and perhaps Misaka is just a prodigy and Accelerator was maybe born with it Gaara style(considering the scenes of him as a kid).

Did they say there were seven level 5s in AC or seven period?

Hmm, I'm not sure if they ever specified. My bet would be in AC, but who knows. AC could be 90% of ability users anyway, maybe other strong level 5's get killed once they reach adulthood. All I know of the huge storyline of the world is there's some psycho omniscient of sorts being that has a hand in just about everything. It was only in Index and never much backstory about it. Really we don't know much about the world outside Academy City.

And I don't know of a good place to find translated light novels so I need to wait for S2 and such.

Yeah, maybe. Whoever that upside down guy was in Index. I think I sorta spaced out during most of those scenes, waiting for them to actually matter and they didn't all season, lol.

Also, stories like doing this but do you think Academy City and Aleister Crowley are intentionally both AC? Like was AC the founder of AC? I don't know much about him.

Lolz, I agree with this. I was totally going to wait for the DVD but I'm considering just watching the camrip now, heh.

Double-posting but whatever. Just watched all of Tokyo Magnitude, very well done anime, I agree with all the above comments about it. But...

    Spoiler: show
    Major major
    Spoiler: show
FUCK YOU FOR KILLING LITTLE KIDS! Don't do that shit to me damnit, kill the parents, not the kids! Kill mama and papa and have them live with Mari, still some drama and a fairly happy ending! Why'd they have to go how they did it? QQ /tears

Added extra spoiler so only people who have seen the anime read it.

Hey, the camrip is actually very well done. There's no skipping, no flashing, and very little movement at all.

The audio is excellent and no one gets in the way of the film at all.

    It's absolutely worth watching now.

Thiiiiiiiiiiis oh god this movie was epic. I wouldn't wait for the bluray release, as Mazui stated in their notes it might not even come out til august/september and there's no way you should deprive yourself of this any longer than you have to. This totally made up for that bullshit 2nd season imo, the quality of animation (from what i could tell, hah) and the music choice were great. Needless to say the story was very good, suspenseful and kept me thinking the whole way through.

Now that I think about it, I'm actually quite glad they did this arc all in one shot and not as a multi-episode series, I feel like if they had broken this story up into parts it would ruin the overall effect of it and render it a lot less awesome than it was.

I like the song during the credits too.

would the camrip quality be still worth it if you know the story already?

I didn't have that foreknowledge so I don't really know. It's possible that there are differences between the novel and the movie. At the very least, I think seeing how something was brought to 'life' from text is worth seeing, even if it's eye-cancerous quality. I personally didn't find the camrip THAT horrible, obviously it's pretty bad as all camrips are but it was certainly watchable so I guess it's really up to you whether you'd want to. The movie is almost 3 hours long if that makes any difference.

On the topic of Angel Beats, does anyone else think that the main character was created in the image of Haruhi? Yurippe acts/talks/looks/leads just like her. It's kind of bothersome how much they seem to have ripped Haruhi off.

They pretty much just took Haruhi and changed her hair color. She seems to have slightly less ADD than Haruhi, but yeah, still basically the same character. lol

Oh good I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that.
Another thing I don't like about the series so far is highlighted in episode 2 (and this might carry to other episodes)
    Spoiler: show
where they're going through the traps and it's totally silly/stupid slapstick and then the mood changes entirely and completely with Yuri's backstory. It seems like two different series at that point. Like one isn't taking itself seriously at all and the other is deadly serious and honestly quite disturbing. If they keep yanking the audience back and forth like that it's going to be really hard to watch.

It has one of the coolest/prettiest OPs I've seen in a long time though so I guess that's something.

    Guin Saga maybe?

What's old is a pussy whipped main character who hasn't got the balls to not get hit every 5 seconds. That, and Harem Comedies are...generally shitty. No one wins, and the least likable girl is always the main heroine. Why?!

As someone who's read the books, I really am glad I watched the Disappearance camrip. I will watch it again when DVD/whatever subs come out, certainly, but Disappearance is one of the best stories in the series, and it's been done a great deal of justice. It is the elemental opposite of Endless Eight; it embodies what the series actually does right -- and, for all its faults, it does some things quite well.

Love Hina is... a difficult series for me to comment on. I enjoy the hell out of it against all reason. I revile Doormat, I have nothing but contempt for Tsundere, (though I do like Mokoto), but I still like the series. I couldn't tell you why. The manga's better, though not as by large a margin as, say, Negima.
