Anime Thread. [Prob not 56k safe]

I never bitch about subs being released too "slow" as I feel these guys don't even have to do subs, especially since you are a subber, aers.

I don't mind waiting a whole week for subs like I did with Menclave as I think 17 was released like.. Thursday this past week and then 18 was released early yesterday by them, I don't mind it. I use them for archiving purposes, plus it means I get to watch two back to back for my fill. <3

I've used SpoonSubs for something though. I can't remember for the life of me what it was. D: It's cool you work with them though.

I'm very into mecha shows, but I'm more of a fan of Super Robots.
G Gundam is my favorite mech anime, if that tells you anything.

Hehe G Gundam <<; looks like we love mechas for different reasons. Anyways, dunno, I'd give it a go, idk where it's heading atm since it's starting up with the whole Trinity thing recently and was really episodic and building up prior to this point. It's not super robot like but it is much more than just another "Gundam Series", that much I can say.

Truth be told, if it didn't tack on the name Gundam and have Gundam like mechas I wouldn't call it Gundam, it's really that much different from what has been released, especially in light of Seed and Ewwwtiny.

The only problem with Gundam 00 is idk what to consider it as quite yet, it hasn't really gotten it's footing as of yet, sure it's going places now, but it's still up in the air what they have in store for us for the future. Practically, so far we only got a vague base to work with and nothing has been built on top of it, though I do like what I see so far.

And I'm getting more attached to the characters now, rather than the episodic start.

Needless to say, there's a lot of potential here, and if they do follow through, this might be an amazing series.

Just finished watching Air Gear in a span of like 3-4 days. I got pretty hooked and it gave me that Tenjou Tenge feeling at the begining without the really crappy flashback filler which I didn't enjoy.

It was really unique in its own way, the constant babes was pretty nice too. Pretty much no complaints about the show other than the stupid censorship and the last minute of the last episode which left me like "Wtf, they could have ended it a bit more cooler than that. :/ "

Might go start fresh from the manga just to see if they didnt censor it like they did with Tenjou.

Probably going to finish Negima! now since I left it a while back after I couldn't find it subbed in english. : p

Which censors are you talking about in Air Gear? The black crow strategically placed in certain spots? If so, that's in the manga I'm pretty sure. Air Gear was pretty entertaining for me though.

I found Negima!! to be fairly mediocre on the whole, and the ending was about as pointless as I figured. I'll always be a little thrown by Negi -not- being a magic kung fu guy, though, thanks to the manga. But the opening sequence(s) for Negima!! were top notch, definitely interesting, and a bit different. The second series is somewhat more tolerable than the first for the notable lack of "PAAAANTSUuuuu FLAAASH," though the original series is more in keeping with the actual manga (which is to the point where most of the characters don't even NOTICE if Negi sees them naked). Still, useless ending. Could have used moar Fate.

QFT about the Saji part. I'm wondering if maybe we'll see a time-skip between season 1 and season 2, because as it is with Saji, I think he's too young to make a difference. I think he needs to graduate and be in space for him to matter for now. That also would bring an interesting role with Louise. Would he still keep in touch with her through the time he's in school? Would they meet again in space possibly? So much there.

As far as Graham and Ali goes.. I think they are two of my favorite "non-main characters" of a Gundam series right now. So awesome.

Yeah, the crows are in the manga too, so you aren't missing much. =P <3 the Ecchi-ness of it. The parts in the anime you see are about as good as it gets, too bad the anime doesn't go where the manga has.

You pick it up on the odd conversation, and just natural progression like Saji's sister's doing the investigation and airing. More or less between each big thing is a month(s) to a few weeks in between. IDK about now, they've definitely slowed the whole thing down.

Did I miss something, or what were those things in Antarctica at the end of Gundam 19? I like the episode mostly for the backstories of Setsuna and Lockon. The thing I kinda want to see most now is more about Tieria, which I kinda like most out of the pilots, or find the most intriguing anyways.
