Fan service anime? I don't get how people find anime that is like pure fan service entertaining. Like I watched Railgun and that was like horrible and that was probably the closest thing to a fan service anime I've watched. If the entire anime were based around characters like Koroko though, I don't even know how it'd still be on television.

inb4 those screens are nothing like what the anime is really like.

Also everyone should make an 'anime list' page. I made mine and feel like it's really weak, felt like I've watched more than this, maybe I'm missing some.

+1ing this. MALU is awesome. Wasn't a fan of using mal before this, took too long (30 seconds lol) to update your list with stuff you are watching, but when you marathon stuff on weekends, it can get annoying.

Decided to throw one together. Mix of going through their top 1000 and other things that jumped to mind. While I kinda feel like I watched a lot of things, I feel like I've missed a lot, too. Also think I have a tendency to forget a show's name if it doesn't have an Americanized version.

edit: MAL is awesome, lets you auto download and updates your list. This should allow me to pretty much follow any anime effortlessly. I need a ton of currently airing anime I need to add to the list. Just name what you're currently watching!

Yeah, mine isn't too big as well. I think it's because I try to not watch anime if it's based off of a manga, since the manga is almost always better.

The majority of my 'Completed' section is Gundam series lol.

So I've never really watch Full Metal Panic past the first season and I'm watching Fumoffu now and holy shit this is hilarious. The Rugby episode was completely amazing.

About 'counter currents' or getting involved in things due to some derivative. e.g. picking up a manga because you enjoyed the game/anime it's based on. Very funny scene about Eva again, I love how they manage to hit so many popular anime so well. It's fucking great. SHAFT is easily one of my favorite studios.

Also, I was reading a thread on MyAnimeList and there were people who complained about how Bakemonogatari would cut to red/black screens with 'This scene deleted' or whatever. They claimed it was the animators being lazy or trying to garner sales for the director's cut DVD that was going to come out. I always thought it was just the style of the anime, and it only really happened during the ends of scenes. I will be downloading the DVD version on June 9th to see the 'full' episodes though, I had no idea they were actually cutting stuff out.

I thought the same thing as you about Bakemonogatari until the snake episode.

It was cutting in and out A LOT on that episode during the whole possession part. I noticed that most of the time when it cut out was when you'd hear a breaking sound or blood splatter (like when Arararararagi runs in,) so I figured it was all censoring after that.

Fumoffu is amazing, even more so once you have a rough understanding of the characters and knowledge that it isn't always supposed to be a comedy series. Easily one of my favourite comedies.
