Angel Beats Ep12 Love

After last week lackluster episode, we are treated today with a well paced and action packed episode. I'll give Jun Maeda credit, despite all the problems this show has, he keeps it interesting with unpredictable plot, we have a new character voiced by Akira Ishida (Kaworu from Evangelion/ giving the same voice) which felt like Evangelion with all the love talk >__>

So good. Can easily tell it is getting close to the end now. Shizuo still being alive is nice, and I love that he didn't even flinch and just continued talking as Shinra was pulling the bullet out.

Izaya seems to be really pissed off in the preview for next episode (all of the pieces on his game board were knocked over), not really that surprising though, the 3 big characters he wants to fight aren't going to.

Such a great series, easily one of the best so far this year. Can't wait to see the ending.

Wow Durarara!! 23 was AWESOME. I can't wait for the conclusion! I was so scared Kida was going to get shot, his confrontation was really freaking epic. Kind of worried he's not in what look like the 'Epilogue' shots...if he dies I'm going to be so mad.

I was told it was relatively faithful to the source material. They only covered 3 chapter out of 8 so far, and character like the policeman and Shinra's father are left for later.


I know the first 4 chapters are translated somewhere on the net, and the rest is in progress, but I would rather see it animated.

There are snippets of volumes 1-7 translated. Ch1-4 of v1 are translated, and v4 will be out soon. RAWs(except 8) are easy to find on /rs/ or something.

So how long is each volume, if they've really gone through 3 already they are condensing it down pretty hard and they've got to be missing lots of stuff. At this pace I'm guessing 2 seasons at the most? Is the light novel still on going or are the 7 volumes it?

Oh, I thought you were talking about durarara...its been a while since I watched Baccano.

Bacano is ongoing with 15 chapters or so, and I think only 4 were covered by the animes (it was modified a little more than durarara afaik). I can't answer your question, but I'm willing to bet we are missing out on many things.

So.. as Ichiban is over now, did anyone like it in the end? Personally, it was a show that started out great, but just fell apart as the season continued..

As I've said before, I felt it was ruined by being too short and having too many plot elements that were never explained/came up without warning. Even the ending, with Keena's power to rewrite everything, came out of left field. I understand that it was all thanks to her power as the law of identity, but it would have been nice to have even implied that she had those powers prior to the last ten minutes of the show.

Best part of the finale was that Brave went down in the first few minutes >.>;
