I dunno if it's true, but what I heard is that the people in pem (or just the guy in charge) hates Bakemonogatari's fanbase A LOT, so to torture them, he released it in parts.

Yeah I fucking love that series, up until now I've only heard of one other person who saw it lol I can't be convinced it didn't somehow inspire Metalocalypse or vice-versa lol

I've never been able to find the movie, though, probably dumb but I really want to see. DS game in the vein of Osu! coming out at some point too lol

The ending of Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou almost made up for the horrible Brave crap that flooded way too many episodes near the end. Seeing an anime go from awesome to horrible so quickly was extremely depressing.

Just watched every episode of Durarara!! in a marathon today. Great anime, 1-12 was as good as Baccano! 12-24 wasn't Baccano! level of epicness but was still enjoyable. The switch from evil corporations and headless horsemen to gang wars was sort of a backwards step if you ask me, but I suppose it did change things up a bit.

Izaya was amazingly cool during the first 12 episodes, and then during the 6 months between 12 and 13 he somehow just went from the worlds greatest troll to your run of the mill Light Yagami villain who enjoys playing nonsensical chess. I really feel like his change in attitude made his character a lot less fun to watch than in the first arc. The first scene in episode 2 where he toys with the girl until she jumps off the roof made him feel like an amazingly interesting sociopath, yet his character seemed to develop from experimenting sociopath to cliche villain during the second arc. I still think his story should have ended with him being cut by the sword and his humanity being taken from him as a form of poetic justice to his "humanity loving" character.

Also I have to say one of the major marks against Durarara!! is the amount of characters that are given no real background or reason for existing in the story. Even Simon, who was a regular character never had more character development than giving Izaya a black eye. I still can't figure out what good the police officer and Shinra's dad were to the story... Baccano! managed to make you fall in love or loathing with every character in the series, Durarara had a bunch of side characters that could have been left out without any loss at all to the story.

Simon and his boss have backstory in volume 5 I think. Police officer guy was introduced and important-ish in volume 4, anime covers 1-3. Don't know why they put him in.

Yeah, I felt Dur had too many characters, too. Might work in a more novelized version, but the anime just kinda left a lot of 'em flat. Oh well, exlploding Celty clothes was fun.

Don't forget the story is far from over. 3/7 chapter were covered, and the series is still ongoing.

Personally, I liked the large cast in this anime. Even if some of them were useless atm, it makes the city more lively. If the story was limited to a few characters, it wouldn't feel like a city where stuff happens all the time.

I'm probably just gonna do the same thing I did last season and pick 1 or 2 shows to fill the gaps between Naruto and Bleach and wait for everything else to finish before marathoning them.

Speaking of which, I suppose I have to go finish B Gata H Kai, Hakuouki, and go through all of Arakawa under the Bridge and Angle Beats. At least, those were the ones that I thought looked ok.

I watched FMA:Brotherhood and Durarara as they aired. Are there any other Anime from last season that I should marathon and are there any on my watch list that I should probably skip?

Arakawa under the bridge was hilarious, one of the better comedy series I have seen in a while. I went into it not really knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the show.

I always thought Shiki looked pretty interesting. The character designs helps a bit, so I'll probably end up giving that a watch and see if I like it.

High School of the Dead, Ookami-san, and Amagami SS are others I plan on checking out. Everything else I'll just wait and see what others think of them.

Looks pretty good to me. Only one I didn't really care for in the end, out of those, was Angel Beats. I really hate when girl designs look like that (Clannad type) but also the story wasn't that great for me.

That's been my basic technique thus far, though I haven't watched any shows in between this season and just plan to marathon whatever turns out to be worthwhile from the passing season.

This basically a muck up of children stories. we get an introduction of the cast, and then we hit our first problem, helping Cinderella. I didn't expect how messed up they would turn the Cinderella's story, but it made all the jokes worth it, and I love all the character already. A good Start to the Summer season.

That's my 'Plant to watch' list, only one I'm really expecting anything from is 'Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi' and 'Seitokai Yakuindomo' because it reminded me of School Rumble a bit. I dropped the manga cause how NSFW it gotten(it hits the point were you question if they girls will have sex with the teacher or their father*yeah they go their*), it's funny series i can't deny that though.

Don't think you will like this. it's fanservice heavy with cat girls, and a retarded male lead.


Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi

It's not Toradora, nothing about it is similar beside the animation, and some of the voice case involved.

Ookami look like your typical harem anime, I'm not sure why people are excited about it.

This was built from the ground up for the idea for the people who love, J.C.STAFF Works. Fantastic animation, Well known voice actors from Itou Shizuka to Rie Kugimiya etc. the jokes were spot on, I crack when the narrator was complaining about our main protagonist flatchest, and she just breaks the forth-wall and looks at the narrator all pissed, so the characters know she exist and will act if they are ticked off.the narrator is basically Kuroko from Railgun with all the complains about fanservice, which was hilarious to hear.The Opening was great as well they got May’n for the main theme.

nothing in the show suggests a harem, but who knows it may change, but right now it's not a harem show.This episode was pretty damn win for me and it has the promise to be a fun show with the butchering of classic fairy tales like Cinderella.

Amagami SS EP1

-Average animation
-good voice cast involved.
-Nice character designs, everyone looks mature.
-meh op/ed themes.
-some nice sudel humor.
-the cast are likable.
-the story is predictable and you've seen a hundred times before.
-I don't like the idea of world reset every 4 episode*I think*, to let another girl shine, and the main protagonist love interest.

If your looking for a slow, and normal love story, it maybe your cup of Tea.

The Legend of the Legendary Heroes Ep1

-Very good animation(I'm sure ZEXCS will run out of fund in the middle).
-Solid voice actors
-decent jokes
-nice action scenes, even if they are short.
-OP was decent but I really enjoyed the ending theme.
-The whole ending credit in English? very weird choice.
-the protagonists are cliche, and annoying at times.
-the story so far is promising from the flashbacks, but hard to know if the show will be good or bad just yet.

A nice fantasy show, which we need desperately with large amount of Slice of life and Moe shows this season, but we have Shiki, HotD and basara to look forward too.

It's Mazui, so yeah it's a good sub(funny since the word 'Mazui' means 'not good/poor', i think.) They did Angel Beats and are doing Katanagatari.

Anyways, that's good about Ookami-san. It definitely looked/sounded interesting when I saw the summaries.
