Sengoku Basara is fucking awesome. I'm pissed I didn't find this show earlier.

I officially fell in love in Sengoku Basara after episode 1 or 2 when this happened

Best action series and the IT’S OK IF I’M THE DEVIL Memorial Award for AWESOMENESS:
Sengoku Basara
What is that Shinsengumi anime called? Too lazy to look up the kanji.
holy shitballs, thank you to everyone who recommend CAT SHIT ONE because that's the most I've simultaneously laughed and loved an anime since Baka to Test. Cannot wait for the rest of this, definitely something I'd buy.
edit: Just watched the first episode of Legend of the Legendary Heroes and enjoyed it. This particular ep wasn't anything spectacular, but it seems like it could be fairly good. I just wish for once that a duo like Ryner and Ferris could flat-out get along well. Watching each others backs with a sense of solidarity and trust as well as a good level of friendship, but without the "INUYASHA ! -- KAGOME !" crying out shit every time one of them is in the slightest bit of danger. It just always annoys me when these duos are either ragging on each other all the time while still getting along or being super dramatic. To be fair it doesn't really seem like Ryner and Ferris are as extreme as I'm talking about, a few of their scenes together just reminded me of this.
I'm thinking like ...the Major and Batou; all of Section 6 really. I love the way they work together, I want to see more of that.
I'm a few weeks/months late like always, but here is a few series/ova I watched recently.
Kurenai ova
I loved the series, but I seriously don't remember who half of these characters are. The ova itself wasnt bad, but there was a bit too much fanservice for my taste. I was hoping for something a little more serious I guess.
Arakawa under the bridge
Shaft did it once again. At first, I wasnt sure about this show since most characters were too ridiculous and the setting didn't interest me. However the cast eventually grew up on me and by the end, I wanted more. I'm glad it was signed for a second season already.
Also, I'm probably the only one here, but I actually enjoyed the 'serious' part more than comedy. The character development was interesting and unexpected in a show like this.
B Gata H kei
The show was pretty funny in overall. It was starting to get stale by the end (and last 2 episodes sucked) but it was still much better than all these ecchi comedy that have been reusing the same material for years.
The Tatami Galaxy
I havent seen anyone mention it in this thread (not really surprising), but I enjoyed it a lot for what it was, an eleven episodes acid trip with original story, characters, and art. It's definitively not something everyone would enjoy, but if you like series that do thing differently, it's worth a shot.

this one? Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan, or just Hakuouki according to MAL. Season 1 aired this Spring, so I guess that is season 2.
Edit: wow sup late reply. didn't see it was already answered.
For the first episode I used a group called Guess for subs, but from what I can tell it looks like they didn't continue. Commie is doing it as well, which isn't bad. http://www.animetake.com/anime/dense...a-no-densetsu/
As for CS1, I'd be genuinely surprised to hear of someone watching the episode and not liking it, it's that good.
Seitokai Yakuindomo 3
Fucking hilarious!
The bird ruining Shino's picture and then barely ruining the last one and her reaction of 'I'll turn you into KFC!'
When the American asks Tsuda for directions and then Hagimura helps him in English. I laughed so fucking hard when he was like 'thanks!... little girl' and she just busted out with 'Fuck you, motherfucker!' in English. hahahaha.
That stupid railgun lesbian voice actor somehow managed her way into this episode though. I hope it was just a guest appearance and go figure, she was a lesbian. -_-
Oh god, Shino buying that book 'The Dancer's makeup is made of cum' LMFAO.
Then the falling scene with the 'Are you satisfied?' and the deer violating Shino.
This was definitely the best episode so far! I am glad I decided to stick with it now.

your aware she can do other range of voices right? She just stuck with Kuroko's voice since it's very popular for her persona. That stupid railgun lesbian voice actor somehow managed her way into this episode though. I hope it was just a guest appearance and go figure, she was a lesbian. -_-

Just listen to the first 9 seconds, Yes The Blue Hair girl is Kuroko's voice actor. I like to mention who keep thinking she's in her 70's or something, cause the Kuroko's voice. she recently hit 30 on July 4th.
Other famous character she voiced is Sayoko Shinozaki from Code Geass
Spoiler: show
You forgot to mention the blue hair girl in Mahoraba has 4 split personalities so she actually voices 5 different characters in that showJust listen to the first 9 seconds, Yes The Blue Hair girl is Kuroko's voice actor. I like to mention who keep thinking she's in her 70's or something, cause the Kuroko's voice. she recently hit 30 on July 4th.
Btw if any of you haven't read Mahoraba manga you should. A+
The VAs I hate the most are the ones who do the same voices just because of popularity. You don't usually see an actor praised for being the same character over and over again, but in Japan, it's OK.
You say she has talent, but who cares when you don't showcase it and just do the same shit.
Yeah I forgot to mention the different voices she does. about the manga I probably should read it.
High School Of The Dead Ep3
Pretty good episode, but could they make the pacing any slower?. I enjoyed the 3rd Ending Theme, much better than the second. Overall the action and explosions were satisfying in this episode.
They Kept the manga reference of Shawn from Shawn of the Dead intact.
Spoiler: show
Sean Connery? You don't usually see an actor praised for being the same character over and over again, but in Japan, it's OK.
It's not like they're brought in at gunpoint without a choice. It all depends on your circumstances and how much coke you wanna do that week, but I'd take the new over the old any day.
