romance? Toradora, Kimi ni Todoke, Itazura na Kiss, Honey and Clover, EF - A tale of memories (and melodies) and uhh, Nodame Cantabile to name a few.

Amagami is decent for a romance. It's still currently airing, but if you don't like waiting and want to watch it all at once, you don't have to. It's done a little differently than most romance animes. It's based on a dating simulation game, and it goes in 4 episode arcs. The main character gets into a relationship with a different female each arc.

I don't think it's come out on DVD yet, but there was a subbed camrip floating around a while back (probably more than one).

I gotta agree. Despite the film screen being at an angle the entire time, you more or less forget about it within like 10~15 minutes into the movie
