Well, archer's entire backstory is revealed in UBW, Rin is the main chick in UBW who happens to be a tsundere, and Shirou actually grew a massive pair and actually went and fought Gilgamesh on a one on one.

So yeah, much better than Fate route. Arguable between that and HF for best scenario.

I don't understand why people hate the Fate arc so much. I suppose it didn't really have as many/as good of twists as the other arcs, but it was still pretty damn deep. Hell, I'll admit it; I shed manly tears at the end of Fate. Not so much with the other arcs, though instead of tears, I got the prickly feeling at the back of my neck for UBW.

By the time I got to HF, the story had been so distorted from what I had already seen (you don't unlock Heaven's Feel until you play through the first 2 arcs) that I didn't feel much at all. Perhaps if I could have forgotten everything I had learned from the first 2 arcs before watching HF, then maybe I would have enjoyed it more. Also, I felt as though Fate and UBW had a lot more in common. It was an easier jump between them whereas HF was just out in left fucking field.

Everything about Fate arc is a bit too boring and cliche'd. UBW actually provide an interesting twist in the whole Archer's betrayal and true identity. The fact they didn't spend half the game practically shitting their pants at the mere mention of Berserker was also nice.

I actually prefer the HF's almost entirely different storyline path because it's more interesting than just going through the similar scenarios after Fate and UBW, plus it shows most growth in Shirou's character as he was forced to basically abandon the bullshit ideal he was clinging to on the first 2 paths.

To each his own though.

Actually, the truth is that Eclipse is shutting down and entering hibernation mode. Effective immediately, Amagami SS is dropped, having reached the end of the Sae arc, and while we're going to finish Kaichou wa Maid-sama!, doing so is going to take us a while. After that, we'll stop.

We've been fansubbing for 5 years straight by now (starting in October 2005), and most group members have finished their university stint and entered the proud workforce, or are currently in the middle of final examinations. Which means we have next to no time to spare for fansubbing.

We've been struggling with this for quite a while and still somehow managed, but now the remaining last translator has decided that he wants to retire, for a compelling reason he prefers not to publicly disclose.
And a fansubbing group without translators is slightly handicapped.

It's been a blast, and we thank our fans for their loyalty and support! In general, most of the process of fansubbing is tedious work, and vain creatures like us live for the praise and applause we get for our releases. Now that you are going to watch the work of other groups, don't forget to give them proper kudos the same way, it does matter.

Some of us will just graduate and grow up, while some others will take on a new task: shaming the so-called “professional” labels committing visual atrocities (fartout goes to Q-TEC) and trying to polish select good animes to a form which fans can watch without convulsions. And who knows what might happen in the future? As always, we reserve the right to change our mind any time!
