Accelerator fucking stuff up is a sight to behold. I feared the scene would be censored but thankfully it was shown in all it's brutal glory.

Okay, so I've been out of the anime loop for months now (thank you school mainly Genetics and Organic Chemistry). The last anime I watched was Highschool of the Dead, I want to get back into shows now and also I didn't really feel like going through 100+ pages of this thread.

What are the current to watch animes out right now?

If you like romance, or even just believable emotions, (and the Meiji period!), watch Otome Youkai Zakuro.
If you like realistic depictions of girl otaku trying to interact with the outside world Kuragehime is great.
If you like somewhat less-realistic depictions of girl otaku trying to hide the fact they're otaku, Ore no Imouto is a very good show.
If you like really unrealistic depictions of galge otaku wooing women (no seriously it's a good show), watch The World God Only Knows.

If you like stuff by the Death Note/Hikaru no Go guy, or are interested in manga, Bakuman.

If you enjoy 4panel-based shows like Azumanga you'll probably enjoy Ika Musume which is about a squid girl trying to take over the world. Personally I don't think it's as good as the rest of the stuff this season, but it's pretty enjoyable.

To Aru Majutsu no Index II is currently running, one of the few sequels this season. It's getting pretty good recently, Railgun-centric story has always been better than religion-centric story.

Katanagatari is great but it's gearing up for a bullshit ending , still probably worth watching for the art alone.
Fairy Tail is a really fun shounen series but it's on like ep 55 now, definitely worth watching from the beginning if you like shounen, there's really no filler up til now either.

Organic chem looks like it sucks, lol, get some anime to scrub your mind clean XD

Add Arakawa Under the Bridge s2 to that. And if you haven't watched s1, go do that. s1 is awesome comedy and s2 is more of the same. Also Star Driver is pretty good action/mecha/fabulous show. And for romance, Amagami SS is really good. The second arc so far is still my favorite.

My Little Kuroneko Can't be This Cute Ep8

Kuroneko stole the whole episode again with her awesome attitude(despite being modified from novel) but the important highlight to me she finally showing interest in Kyousuke.

one side note. Kirino is such a spoiled brat, I can't believe Kyousuke had to solve her stupid problem yet again. I still liked this episode.

Yoshimichi Kameda MAD

Sakuga MAD for the key animation of Yoshimichi Kameda (亀田祥倫). Yoshimichi Kameda was born in 1984 and originally worked for AIC. After his impressive work on Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Kameda has become a star young animator. Most of his substantial animation in TV-anime has been in action animation for BONES. Although his career is relatively young, this MAD still captures a decent amount of striking animation! I look forward to seeing more of him to come (I’m sure he will be involved in the FMA:B movie!).
My favourite work of his is certainly the scene between Lust and Mustang. The detailed drawings and cool effect animation really make that scene very intense.

A short book was recently released called, 『このライトノベルがすごい！ 2010』 (This light novel is incredible!), which provides a definitive popularity-based overview of the light-novel market over the last year. Check it out here. Research was conducted to ascertain the top 60 light novel titles over the last year, the top 10 illustrators, and the top 10 female and male characters (among other rankings!). The light novel industry in Japan is really booming, and has become a prime source of anime adaptations (especially Dengeki’s various titles!). These rankings are pretty interesting, so I thought I’d translate and discuss some of them!

Misaka Mikoto’s unyielding popularity really doesn’t surprise me, and I’m really glad she took first spot! not being well-versed in the light-novel industry, I found these rankings pretty interesting (although I’d also like to look at some comprehensive sales figures). This ‘Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai’ is a series I hadn’t even heard of, but it seems to have taken the light novel world by storm. It seems likely we’ll get an anime of that soon! I also hadn’t realised how popular Baka Test actually was. I wonder if OreImo will climb the ranking after the anime? I’m sure it boosted sales. I loved checking out the illustrator list. I’m in 100% agreeance with the top choice, Haimura Kiyotaka. His artwork for the Index light novel series is always so stunning, evocative and has a cute warmth to it whenever he draws the girls. It’s so good that it often makes any other Index official art look ugly by comparison! Mel Kishida being #4 is also good to see!

Personally I found Amagami to be horribly, utterly boring, but maybe that's just me...

Seriously though, do they really need to make their panting scene last that fucking long...though I suppose if I wear my fujoshi glasses, I suppose I could probably consider their fight as some symbolism for homosexual intercourse, at which point the panting and wheezing length would be appropriate, and was just missing either of them lighting a cigarette.
