Kuroneko stole the whole episode again with her awesome attitude(despite being modified from novel) but the important highlight to me she finally showing interest in Kyousuke.

one side note. Kirino is such a spoiled brat, I can't believe Kyousuke had to solve her stupid problem yet again. I still liked this episode.

Agreed. I'm assuming she doesn't get hit in the face with a lead pipe at some point though, and that makes me sad. I'm enjoying the series well enough but is this really what people jizz over tsundere characters for, someone like Kirino?

Tsundere is so good. If only girls were like that in real life, they need to be more tsun and less dere. I almost get annoyed when girls are too nice in real life, would kill for a girl to be uninterested or mean to me in real life at least some of the time. Maybe it's just in anime though, who knows how I'd really react if I had it happen in real life but I imagine I'd cream my jeans instantly if I ever met a tsundere.

I think Taiga was my first Tsundere experience and ever since I just love character even remotely similar.

Finally got around to High School of the Dead. I really, really enjoyed it and am praying for a second season. The level of fanservice was just perfect. Just enough to be awesome, and just enough to not take away from the plot/story. I'd say it's even better done than Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou. Really loving the direction of the plot also.. I'm probably gonna try to read the manga.

It seems the 12 episodes of anime took up ~15 chapters.. and there are 28 out now.. I'm hoping they make a second season and hoping they release the manga more regularly. I think I heard it didn't sell to well in japan though, so I guess I should hope extra hard. <.<;

Tsundere is overrated, and the fact that every other show has one thrown in randomly is pretty annoying.

That being said though, I won't deny that it's great when it's done right, but I really think it's best when even the character themselves lampshade it like Senjougahara's case in Bakemonogatari.

When I think tsundere I don't think bipolar I think woman who isn't overly affectionate and is very headstrong. That's what's attractive to me about the tsundere character, it's the confidence and clear departure from the typical 'teehee' girly bullshit every other female anime character archetype falls into.

Seriously though, do they really need to make their panting scene last that fucking long...though I suppose if I wear my fujoshi glasses, I suppose I could probably consider their fight as some symbolism for homosexual intercourse, at which point the panting and wheezing length would be appropriate, and was just missing either of them lighting a cigarette.

lol, I was thinking the same thing. Awesome fight, then like 2 minutes of panting. This show really has terrible pacing, but I'll keep watching.

I dont mind any archetypes as long the character is well written. Nothing piss me off more than a tsundere who is used to reset the romance every few episodes where you would expect progress.

There are many different types of tsunderes- it's an archtype that is has plenty of niches. All that's required is that they have a hard side and a soft side. Some are bi-polar bitches, others are just girls who are afraid of being hurt, and then there are even others. Some famous examples are biribiri and Senjougahara. Just because someone likes one type of tsundere, doesn't mean he'll like them all though. For example- I think Taiga should have died in the fucking blizzard.

Worst tsunderes are Shana and Louise, basically any character like those two is an awful fucking character, and the series their in is worse off for it.

They can be done well, I actually don't mind tsundere if the male lead (or whatever) isn't a complete pussy/doormat.

Yandere are hilarious but incredibly hard to find, the archetype is more difficult to pull off in a character than tsundere, which is pathetically easy and overdone. As far as tsundere goes, I don't mind them too much; being a girl myself, I can understand a desire to put up a strong front in order to switch around the damsel in distress stereotype. Thing is, tsundere used to be the exception and now it's the norm, shy girls are coming back into style (although they're oftentimes moe-bait). It's possible to do a strong female character without overdoing it and turning it into tsundere though...
some of my favorite examples of those being:

Utena, Horo, Nanoha/Fate, Sora (Kaleido Star), Rosette (Chrno Crusade)... there's a lot of others but I don't feel like thinking of them atm, and those are only from some of my preferred shows - definitely not even scratching the surface. So while tsundere may be the norm now, it wasn't so long ago that there was a strong and stable female archetype. It's still there now, but it's struggling along silently...
