As much as some people might try to sound cool or whatever (in fucking anime circles, what the fuck is that), that's really all it boils down to.

There might be things about each series you don't like, but if you don't like them in Naruto or Bleach, will you like them in One Piece?
There are people out there that say almost all shounen are the same shit, and they are right about that for the most part. That's why they are in the same genre, the same could be said about most shows in any genre.

If someone doesn't like either Naruto or Bleach, I have a hard time believing they could enjoy most shounen shows, so I'm sticking by my statement.

I hate both Naruto and Bleach, but I watch other shounen shows. Claymore is a Shounen and I love that. It has nothing to do with the genre and everything to do with the shows. Just like there's good comedy and bad comedy, Naruto and Bleach are bad Shounen, at least from an anime perspective.

dont think so. Since that there still many different type of art style and story that target on different kind of group. While usually those popular manga that transition into anime are shounen type.

I watch a lot of shounen anime, and read some shounen manga... Bleach and Naruto aren't too different from most of them.
I can't see too many reasons for you to dislike them and like others except for three reasons, they aren't over yet, /a/ told you to and they are popular.

Other than that they're pretty similar to 80% of the other shit out there.

I don't visit 4chan - therefore I don't visit /a/. I have my own reasons for not liking those shows. Stop trying to lump everyone together because it doesn't work. The anime world doesn't revolve around /a/ or their opinions, like it not people can make their own decisions about a show without it being thrown in their face.

Ghost Slide has shown me that most people can't.
Of course there are some that can, there's exceptions to everything.

There's actually still people who think Ghost Slide is a real show, and have talked about how great it is, and when it was pointed out to them that there was no Ghost Slide you should have seen the reactions.

However, I'm starting to stray from the original argument here. Excuse me for thinking you were one of those types, but that's just how I am, I assume everyone is until something shows that they aren't. My main reason for thinking that, however, is the fact that the way you talk about many shows is very close to the way your "typical /a/ poster" does. (cept you don't seem to like loli shit as much from what I can tell)

Even if you don't go there, you seem to have a similar mindset, so that's the conclusion I came to.

Hey, come on now. Let's not get in some internet war of arguing about why so and so doesn't like to watch such and such anime. It's not like it really matters. People will watch what they want to watch and feel however they want to feel, so don't sweat the small stuff.
