Uh, you guys can't drop 2 bills every once in a while?
Are those Gundams? The "W" at the top makes me think "Gundam Wing" along with the scythe but I can't read Japanese.
Yes. It's from the new Wing manga that is coming out eventually.
That scan looks so fucking awesome lol
Spoiler: show
So, speaking of Haruhi. Was that second season any good, I loved the first one but never checked out the second season.
Up until endless 8. Have fun with that.
I saw the S2 box set at Fry's the other day. $45 dollars. All 8 eps of endless 8 were listed as "part 1," "part 2," etc. I had a good lol and left it there.
But in all fairness everything but endless 8 is great. Hell I'd go so far as to say Endless 8 part 8 is worth watching, even if the other 7 aren't.
watch any one episode of endless eight and the last, then just watch the rest for plot since you kinda need it if you don't read the novel to get the movie, then watch the movie
I got pissed at the third episode of endless eight, and never bothered finishing the rest of the series, but I kinda already read the novel. I should at least finish the second season now that the movie got the series back to my good grace I guess.
Gundam 00: Awakening of the Trailblazer DVD will be avaliable on Christmas. Cannot wait.
You gotta admit Endless 8 was a damn ballsy move though, if only for that. They had to have known it wouldn't sell well (I mean, who wants to buy the same thing 8 times besides diehard fans?) but they still did it - why? For me, I felt that it provided a rare reflection of the characters' feelings - not just watching them and empathizing, but feeling the same irritation and vague uneasiness myself (as in 'how long can this go on? wtf is happening?'). Personally I thought that was brilliant, since it put you in certain characters' shoes - if only for a moment, it bridged the gap between passive and active watching (I don't know how else to say it). Not to mention re-animating and re-voicing the same ep 8 times - that is a labor of goddamn love. Even if everyone involved did hate it afterward, lol.
tl;dr Endless 8 might've been a dick move, but it was a ballsy effort-driven gap-spanning dick move.
I haven't seen S2 myself, gonna download that right now and marathon it tomorrow... I wonder how I'll feel about this endless 8
Epic. It's like they're animating all my favorite mangas. Looking forward to Mirai Nikki and Deadman's Wonderland along with their altered endings lol.
The correct way to watch haruhi: 1. Watch season 1 in broadcast order. 2. Wait a few months. 3. Watch all 28 episodes of haruhi in 2009 order, including all the endless eight episodes. 4. Watch the movie.
That's what I did, anyway.
Technically, so was Gurren Lagann, since Spiral Power is 50% spirits and 50% love, and that spiral power was what allowed the spiral being to procreate and evolve.
If it wasn't already made obvious by those drills.
