Anime Thread. [Prob not 56k safe]

So I started watching like the first two episodes of Gundam 00, and I got kinda bored by it. In general I had no clue what the hell was going on in the first episode and the second episode had left me kinda sleepy.

I still have a few more episodes downloaded and I'm not gonna judge it off its very first few episodes but I hope it gets more entertaining atleast.

On another note D.Gray-man has gotten pretty good. I saw 73 last night, although I forgot I skipped 72 by accident so I had no clue what the hell were those giant akuma doing the weird star dance attack thing. xD

Oh and <3 Clannad 20.

The first episode is a little difficult to follow because of all of the acronyms they throw around, but once you get the hang of them, it's easy to understand what is going on. Give it a chance

It does get better. Gundam 00 is a lot about information rather than Gundam SEED/Destiny "Run into a fray of 100 mobile suits and completely own them all" type of thing. 22 just came out in the RAW not too long ago and it was pretty awesome, but the series overall has been an improvement over Seed/Destiny by far.

It all depends on opinion though. I personally enjoyed the first bit, but every episode isn't just about what happened in 1 and 2. Unlike some shows, it's trying to actually bring in information about the different factions and such. Like Pun said, give it a chance.

Charismatic, if you want to give it a chance without downloading, just stream it somewhere so you don't have to waste time. Do a marathon sitting and see what you think, haha. =P

Right now I'm trying to get the best equip on BoF IV (fuck you Render) and trying to complete my 'perfect' speed run on FFIX and I'm stuck.


I might check it out once I get the Render, but that shit is taking a long time because I hate BoF IV's fishing and I keep running around to do other shit.

Yeah, that's normally what I do too. I'll stream the first few episodes, if I like it, I'll download it.

Yeah, I can't wait. I'll be sad during our 6 month break, but it's been a great Gundam series so far.

If someone doesn't like either Naruto or Bleach, I have a hard time believing they could enjoy most shounen shows, so I'm sticking by my statement.

I hate both Naruto and Bleach, but I watch other shounen shows. Claymore is a Shounen and I love that. It has nothing to do with the genre and everything to do with the shows. Just like there's good comedy and bad comedy, Naruto and Bleach are bad Shounen, at least from an anime perspective.

And why are they "so bad from an anime perspectice"? If you mean the animation, sure, it's horrible due to the abundance of dragged scene and low quality content to make it last 600 billions episodes, but there is nothing wrong with the manga itself, or early episodes before they started sucking.

However, I'm starting to stray from the original argument here. Excuse me for thinking you were one of those types, but that's just how I am, I assume everyone is until something shows that they aren't. My main reason for thinking that, however, is the fact that the way you talk about many shows is very close to the way your "typical /a/ poster" does. (cept you don't seem to like loli shit as much from what I can tell)

Even if you don't go there, you seem to have a similar mindset, so that's the conclusion I came to.

In what way? Is it because I don't like Lucky Star? Because I've given my reasons - plenty of them for that (one's that aren't based on 'because /a/ or some other random asshole told me not to like it). Even going so far as to say I tried to watch and like it, but never got into it. My opinions are my own, I don't even know what a typical /a/ poster mindset is.

I can't really defend myself from that comment, simply because I have no idea what you're comparing me to. It may be ignorance, but if ignorance is staying away from 4chan then I'm happy to be ignorant. Ultimately though, I don't really feel the need to justify myself, but you're right in that this is getting away from the original point.

Hey, come on now. Let's not get in some internet war of arguing about why so and so doesn't like to watch such and such anime. It's not like it really matters. People will watch what they want to watch and feel however they want to feel, so don't sweat the small stuff.

I never said there was anything wrong with the manga (despite it not being my taste), what I meant about the anime is pretty much everything you said. Low quality, shovel anime that is dull and drags on.

I don't know why you'd feel the need to 'defend' yourself against that comment, it wasn't an attack. If you take away the trolls (which every site has, although 4chan has more) it's a decent place, especially now that moot split the board... (I don't like /jp/)

For me, Gundam 00 didn't get good until the Trinity comes out (I guess you can also include the big battle just before it), so... around 15 or so.

All the episodes before are "okay", not bad but not epic like after ep 15. After Trinity came out, I consider the rest of the episodes extremely good (like Gurren Lagann/Code Geass good)
