Anime Thread. [Prob not 56k safe]

You have really shitty taste on anime if you honestly drop Madoka and still watches Freezing, IS, Dragon Crisis and Ochinko

Hell, throw fucking KnT in there, you'd have to like Noto Mamiko enough to watch Freezing to find KnT even close to not sucking, which seem to be your case.

And seriously, while shaft show have similar style from obviously being a shaft production, labeling Bakemonogatari, Arakawa, Soremachi, and Madoka as "the same shit" when you're fucking watching IS makes you retarded.

If there is anything that embodies "the same shit" mentality this season, IS is exactly that.

Just because I'm watching them doesn't mean I find them master pieces, I don't watch much American TV so I watch a lot of anime. For instance, I only watch Freezing because I enjoy the manga and seeing the fight scenes animated is cool.

As for SHAFT, I still watch and like a lot of their shows. Ef, Soredemo, Maria Holic I enjoyed, basically when it's more subdued. Shinbo just goes too far with his style in most stuff he directs. He butchered Natsu no Arashi, and while I enjoyed the characters in Bakemonogatari everything else was too overboard. He just overuses his techniques in every anime he does now. It was cool when they first did it with Ef ~ a tale of memories but now...

I choose most shows I watch based on voice acting and directing/storyboard, and if the voice acting is good I can keep watching a mediocre show for that reason alone. Only reason I'm watching IS is Yukana's Tessa voice

Still, as much as I love Yukana, typecasting her into a fucking tsundere ojousama bitch is just a poor decision IMO

Then again, everyone in that show is one type of fucking tsundere, and is going out of its way to force the whole osana najimi concept without fleshing any part of their character, which make the whole thing unbearable to begin with. The show started with an interesting premise, and decent animation, but then it just fucking degrade into high school life harem series. I like it better when it's called Iisekaijin no Seikishi Monogatari, which I didn't really like that much to begin with.

It's not that different though. It's like an amalgamation of all the sterotypes of magical girl shows, except with a Shinbo/NitroPLUS twist to it.

I think Freezing is the only show from this season that I'm watching as it airs (out of sheer boredom, I assure you). I intend to watch Madoka since it comes so highly recommended, but I'm gonna wait at least a few more weeks and possibly till it's finished. I might go back and watch Fractale too, but it's just lagging behind the others in episodes, and there hasn't been much said about it.

Index and Bakuman are still hanging on from last season, but that's about it.

If there's anything else out there that I'd be retarded to NOT watch, let me know.

So... anyone know of any anime with VERY outlandish, yet well-animated fights? Examples being stuff like the video below and TTGL final fight, etc.
I think the thing that drew me to anime was this sort of craziness yet I don't see too much of it nowadays, but then again it's not like I've actually been looking.

Sengoku Basara? My actionfightan anime knowledge is pretty shitty. My friend recommends Seirei no Moribito but thats the only real fightan type show on my to-watch list.

I dropped Madoka mainly because Shinbo is old hat now, his last 5 shows have all been the same shit.

Zombie is probably my favorite this season, but I'm surprised no one mentioned Mitsudomoe 2. Also watching Infinite Stratos, Dragon Crisis, KnT2, Freezing (<3 Lim Dal Young), Beelzebub, and OniiZen.
