I've solved Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica
The sin is the black shit in the magical girl's gems, note the grief seed pulls black shit out of the gem when they use it on their soul gems. The grief seed is not restoring magic, it is purifying their souls of sin. The grief seed only pulls a very small amount because the grief seed itself is a soul gem which was not purified frequently enough and built up too much sin, therefore it is only able to take on a small amount of sin. In theory if a magical girl was able to get her hands on another magical girls gem it might be able to take on much more sin than a grief seed. Kyuubee obviously works for Satan, collecting sin in the gems is what he's all about, he perpetuates the cycle of creating these sin filled gems and eats them. Hmmm, love the taste of a soul filled with sin in the morning.
Sayaka does something to the boy she healed with her wish, possibly killing him (relating back to Kyouko's suggestion), or does something horrible to anyone she cares about really, she just has to feel it's a sin. This sin is either what puts her over or is sufficient enough to taint her soul gem to the point of no return, causing her to become a witch. Sayaka is the witch we see Homura battling in episode one, the same witch Homura predicts in Episode 6. Homura knows she will have to fight/kill Sayaka and confronts Kyouko telling her she will 'handle it.' This pulls back to Faust wherein Gretchens destruction triggers Faust (Madoka) trying to save her, after becoming a witch or after her sin. Mephistopheles (Kyuubee) will obviously continue to be an instigator, manipulator throughout. In the alternate timeline Madoka is sent to hell for trying to save Sayaka, Homura possibly wants to prevent this, goes back in time to handle it herself and not allow Madoka to be manipulated by Kyuubee (Mephisto) and sent to Hell. Obviously Kyuubee wants Madoka pure soul because it being tainted is more valuable or something.
I just love how shameless and evil Kuyube is. I mean, he isn't exactly cute, but you can see they were going for that typical mahou shoujo mascot look. Yet the thing is pure evil. I think it's just kinda great.
Just watched ep 6 of madoka as well. It just went from pretty good to holy shit to me.
@Maguspk
I agree with the general idea that Kyubey represent the devil who is hunting for corrupted souls (magical girls transformed into witches), and ultimately, is trying to get his hand on Madoka's soul.
I never thought Sayaka was the witch Homura was fighting in the first episode, but now that you mention it, it could be the case. After episode 6, I actually thought it would be Mami since according to the new rules established, her body could be restored as long the soul is intact (unless the soul crystal thing broke?). Her death scenes was very fishy since all we saw was her body being crushed.
I'm not sure how the rest of the show will play out, but I'm expecting to see at least one episode with Madoka's mom, another with Witch-Mami, one where Sayaka dies (or turn into a witch), and a last one where Madoka turn into a magical girl without Kyubey's help, since I don't see why they need him.
[edit]
About Sayaka, I'm not sure she will kill the boy, or at least, not until she transform into a witch. I think the "sin" is wishing for something that shouldnt have been, and any magic past that point corrupt your soul even more.
Kyube could have been considered cute in another show, but damn, he so creepy in Madoka. The way he smile and stare is just scary.
So, I just watched the first episode of Freezing. Is this whole series just Evangelion with Claymores instead of Evas?
Dunno, really. They're still fucking around introducing girls with little development and no sight of Novas yet. Not that I'm really complaining, but how much episode time is wasted will depend on if they go 12, 24, or even more.
So far, the show has been so repetitive and shallow that I'm not really expecting anything more than a shitty story with lots of (also repetitive) fanservice. So far, every episode has been:
Scheming bitch picks a fight with protagonist. (Alternating between attacking Male protagonist and Female Protagonist)
Clothes are torn, and titties shown.
Reveal/Discover some new and unexpected power beyond what they should be able to do. (Also alternating)
Mutual crushes result in awkward moments and copious amounts of blushing.
Protagonists win.
Repeated 6 times so far with slightly different bitches each time. That's the entirety of Freezing thus far.
This show isn't going to get anymore interesting that animated titties.
Question: Is Fairy Tail any good?
Not really. Like the two posts above me have stated, it's been pretty repetitive introducing new girls and fights in each episode with mild fanservice and virtually no bloodshed. I think the last 3 episodes of the season will feature a big Nova fight and be interesting, but the middle of the series has been kinda meh. I'd recommend watching it if you're bored but you may want to wait till the end of the season before finishing it.
Wow, that's an interesting and in depth theory you have there. I'm just curious what you mean by sin. Where does it come from and why does it flow from low concentration to high concentration? I was just thinking if a Magi took another Magi's Soul Gem if it would flow in different directions considering the concentrations of sin in each Soul Gem. I have some ideas but I'd like to hear what you think.
I get the feeling he was trying to get Madoka to contract before she found out what becoming a magical girl really entails. He recruits harder than the army, ffs.
Excuse me, just sign here...
Spoiler: show
concentration should only be relevant as to how much darkness or sin the recieving gem can hold. The Magi need something to dump their own darkness into so if the theory is correct another Magi's soul gem should be just like a grief seed in that regard only it can hold way more so they could dump a lot of darkness into it before it's too full to reuse.
I didn't consider what makes it flow a particular direction, but that's an interesting point. I just figured it sort of purified whoever's gem belonged to the person holding it, like it was just a natural process. I only call it sin because it relates back to the whole Satan theory and Kyubee being some sort of harvester of souls. The sin could be using the powers given to them by the agent of Satan, and so using their powers generates 'sin'.
Just started watching Legend of the Legendary Heroes. From the first episode I thought it was going to be too much comedic relief not enough serious. And I don't really like how the blond sword girl acts. Just finished episode 9 though, and I have to say I'm very pleased with the amount of supersrsbzns.
This series reminds me of naruto. Just replace the tailed beasts with super sharingan.
Now I know why she pisses me off. D: It's fine when her little sister and kids act retarded towards him and ruin the serious parts, but when she does it- it's just not cool. Especially with how far she goes. >:O
Eight more episodes to go, I hope this has an actual ending at the end of all this.
Just finished episode 18.. shit just got real. Going to finish this and then probably pass out. Homework can be started later..
My mind is all full of fuck after watching episode 21. The ending makes me really glad I wait until series are over. Instead of waiting a week after a super cliffhanger, I can just carry the emotion through.
ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuu uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu THAT WASN"T AN ENDING YOU PIECES OF SHIT. SJKSH@*B)B)*FSWYN P#NFS:L JMOIW MNURI_NFS:KLJEWFND)J WNFKPSN _ NEHR_HSPFC_#$&#_R Ew
I am angry, and so confused. Episode 23 had 15 seconds of not bullshit, and episode 24 is that? Seriously? SERIOUSLY!?
I want a sequel. NAO. At this rate I might end up finding the light novels and attempting to read them.
Reading the wiki has explained some things. Things that should have been explained and could have been explained if they didn't waste episode 23. Still angry, but no longer confused; so I might just go to sleep now. But I'll still probably attempt to find the novels when I wake up. Story material is some of the best I've ever experienced. I want moar.
There is an anthology of what seem to be hentai doujins drawn by the author of the manga itself, with a bunch of his other series in it, including Inferno, that 2 devil sister one, and some other shit
As far as Madoka goes, I have the similar theory that eventually mahou shoujo will degenerate into witches from the corruption of their soul gem, which would make sense the way Homura go out of her way to stop Madoka since Kyuubey keep saying shit how her affinity to being a mahou shoujo would be great. If she was to become one, and degenerated into a witch, Madoka would probably just destroy everything.
Also, the way Homura seem to live from places to places, chasing the Walpurgis Nacht, along with her knowledge on the working of the mahou shoujo system, wouldn't surprise me if she was one of those secretly-centuries-old-loli who may/may not be the first mahou shoujo.
And with Kyuubey as a container for all the fully corrupted grief seed...at least now we know for sure that deep down inside, the little fucker is made of pure, unadulterated evil.
Lim Dal Young doesn't do any drawing himself, there's no way he could since he has 10 ongoing series. There's 4 or 5 different artists that partner with him, Freezing and Aflame Inferno are the same artist for example. Although they all have similar art styles.
