I looked at the Freezing chapters up until 60. 41+ are in Chinese obviously, but man, there is some fucked up shit in the manga. Chapter 43-45 are fucking insane. How they would have that animated is beyond me. Maybe they are too afraid to animate it. (lol)

I haven't watched any of the .Hack series other than .Hack//Sign. I didn't see how any of them that could top that series. It's one of my favorites, I think. If anyone has input on the rest of the other series, feel free to give me some input.

If you liked Sign then others might feel weaker, yeah. A lot of people thought Sign was overtalked and liked the other series mores. Roots is a little similar to Sign I guess, but not on the same level. I haven't seen the trilogy but I heard good things about it. I also loved Liminality (but that was mainly for the OST, plus w/o playing the games they don't make much sense).

Just caught up on Madoka. I was sooooo close to dropping it after the travesty that was the 2nd episode, but I'm glad I decided to give it one more, cause that's when it started to not suck. The tone of the story reminds me a LOT of Bakurano along with a few other similarities.

Now that I can take part in the discussion, I'd just like to say LOL at the Entropy explanation... Energy within the universe is not being LOST, it's merely being spread out as the universe expands. Sure, in some obscenely large amount of time, the universe will be reduced to a bunch of sub-atomic particles, non of which are larger than a Photon, spread out so far that it will be billions of years between interactions amongst them, but you wouldn't combat that problem by just creating more energy... You would have to first stop the universe's mass from spreading any further.

Oh well... ignorance of theoretical physics aside, and ignoring the first 2 episodes, the show isn't bad. Though I must say that I don't get the hype at all. It doesn't seem like there's enough happening in any given episode to warrant the amount of discussion that I've been seeing of this show. Put together, sure, there's something to talk about, but week-to-week, there's just not all that much happening.

When they were talking about energy, they meant potential energy, which is also how you define energy most of the time (lowest potential = no energy). If you put it that way, what they said about entropy is not wrong.

You are also forgeting they are dealing with aliens species who can travel in space (probably faster than light). We don't know what kind of power source they have access to, but it's not unthinkable they are speeding up the death of the universe by tapping into some sort of hypothetical form of energy (ie: use dark energy --> increase universe expansion rate --> kill it even faster).

Lastly, they said the emotions (souls) are beyond physics's laws. From that point, they are allowed to say whatever they want, because it's way beyond our physics.


I'm extremely nitpick when it comes to sciences fiction, but in this case, I didn't detect anything wrong (something that contradict our physics). It wasnt the best way to word it for sure, but it was still acceptable.

Not surprised since they are doing Negima Movie/Kaizo/Denpa Onna/New SZS episode at the SAME TIME, but according to his saying, Shaft's staff number is still very small despite all the recruiting they were doing in their hom-page.

It goes into effect in June, so that's for Summer anime to deal with.

And I don't think it'll hurt ecchi anime too much, unless the Japanese are really stupid. The ban is in Tokyo only now, so it'd be easy to continue to make ecchi anime. All you need to do is just have censored Tokyo broadcasts and uncensored elsewhere. I'm sure people will visit other neighboring areas of Tokyo to buy ecchi goods since this ban won't stop their addiction to that kinda stuff, and the censored Tokyo broadcasts would only fuel DVD/BD sells. That is if the other areas don't adapt that ban as well.
