The only thing Kenshin related that I could watch without cringing was Hope and Betrayal. The show just seemed poorly animated and targeted toward a much younger audience (granted, I didn't see very many episodes, so I could be wrong).

Holy shit a new RuroKen anime, if it's any good it will make my year in terms of anime, whichever year it ends up coming out. RuroKen is one of my favorite things ever, it pushed me to learn about Japanese history on my own and I loved it to pieces. Really hoping they give it a Brotherhood treatment. If so, the stuff that showed up in the OAVs will be properly integrated into the new series like it is in the manga.

I doubt Noriyuki Asakura will do the music again, but you never know. Taku Iwasaki did some good stuff for the OAVs, but I'm actually kind of hoping Taro Iwashiro will score the new anime (sadly, he only did the terrible movie, Ishinshishi no Requiem, as far as Kenshin goes, but the music was awesome).

I thought kenshin was okay, but nobuhiro watsuki's post kenshin works makes me think it was a fluke at best and he really was just a talentless hack

Kenshin does ride a nostalgia wave to the top of a lot of people's lists, but the same is true of a lot of anime from the period (Dragonball being the most notorious example). The manga is strong though, I don't see how people could not want the best part of the story adapted using modern animation techniques.

I thought the last part of the jinchuu arc felt really rushed, and the whole fight vs the 4 bald chinese guy was pretty boring with just kenshin narrating how awesome everyone was. IMO the only good thing that came out of jinchuu arc was kenshin's backstory.

I'll admit though, Kyoto arc was great, and probably the peak of the series.

Kenshin was alright. Only reason that show rocked was cause of Satou. That guy was a total badass and his samurai stance was equally awesome.

think in that ninja anime the girls have some soorta "breat size" stealing powers... so I'm sure it'll have a chest for all people.. from flat to ZZZ ! O_o

This. DFC and proportional all the way. Over sized always turned me off.
