Loving this series. I am amazed how well the characters are developed. only two episodes in and I still care about their conflicts and feelings to each other. there only one disturbing part but I am sure this a setup for the upcoming episodes.

Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko Ep2

The story is still nonsense, but Shaft knows that. so their solution is make the female characters even cuter than previous episode, and add a lot of Moe moments. if your a hardcore lolicon fan this episode will please you. at least one joke made me laugh, but it needs to get better.

Aria The Scarlet Ammo EP2

Same as Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko. only difference I laughed twice. next weeks preview shows possibly some action. I hope to god that's the case. this episode was a torture to go through. I do like the chemistry between Aria and Kinji, but a full episode dedicated to that.....

That was fucking amazing, bittersweet but it's probably the best possible ending with the series' overall tone.

I was just wtf-ing the entire time Homura was fighting Walpurgis, she pulled out a fucking AEGIS missile defense on her ffs, was surprised there wasn't a nuke ICBM as her ace in the hole

Loved the ending of Puella Magi. Honestly, this would be one of the best anime's to "convert to real life, just to troll people". Such a great story.

There was too much focus on Homura, and the ending could have been slightly less open, but it was pretty good in overall. It was a nice way to end an awesome show.

Focus shifted to Homura because while the show was named after Madoka, Homura to me felt like the main character.

I liked the open ending, it's good and bad for the universe in a way and it's bitter-sweet, which leaves a good after taste. Personally I liked the ending. It's still tragic but hopeful. If it had been a completely good ending, all sunshine and roses I would've felt cheated.

Depends on your perspective.

Basing it on the overall story, it's a relatively "happy" ending

That being said, the happy ending involved the titular character being faded from everyone else's memory for making her existence a paradox, while spending the rest of eternity at the deathbed of all mahou shoujo, while the damn world is still fucked anyway since the resentment and misfortune just chose another form to manifest instead of witches, while the one person that knew everything that happened can't really do anything but to try at least protect the crapsack world so her sacrifice means something.

But hey, it could be a lot worse with gurobuchi writing it.
