Hanasaku ep4
While it didn't make me rage like the 3rd episode, I was bored the whole time. It still managed to be funny, but the drama, I just don't care anymore. The show has plenty of time left to redeem itself, but with these boring personality, I just don't see it happening. It's simply too hard to empathize with the cast.

That said, it still blow most slice of life out of the water, it's simply not the drama I was hoping for.

I'm going to assume no one like it since I haven't seen anyone mention this show on this board (except avvesione maybe), but it's starting to grow on me. Even if the plot is somewhat predictable and simple, the animation is great, and the main character offer a nice alternative to the angsty teens we are used to see in anime. My expectation were pretty low at first, but right now, it's my second favorite show this season after Ano Hana.

I'm sure the Staff are up to the task(if sources are correct it's 24 episodes). very few series take two episodes to establish itself the way Ao no Exorcist did. in my opinion that's some efficient storytelling. still I'm keeping my expectations low and I hope they can continue the solid adaptation.

(and seeing from the manga it should be some good fighting and ecchi scenes later)

What happened with Sayaka that made her disappear? It seemed that Madoka was preventing Witches from ever coming into being, but then why would Sayaka disappear in the end? Also, while watching Kyubey explain the history of his race and the magic girls, I couldn't figure out who the first girls would have fought. I understand there'd still be distortions, but if witches come from girls whose soul gems are corrupted by fighting witches, then wouldn't there need to have been some witches artificially introduced at first?

Madoka stopped the girls from turning into witches once their time was "up", but that doesn't mean they still can't die normally from getting beat up or from doing what Kyoko did and expending all their energy (or so I assume).

As for the first girls, they didn't need to fight anything I assume. They used their powers/wishes to advance their own personal causes (winning wars, ruling over empires etc) and from whatever events took place, accumulated grief and soon turned into witches. So the next set of girls would have to fight them and their own grief at the same time. Kyubey said that without wishes, humanity wouldn't have advanced, so it stands to reason that the first girls would have wished for something like that (the wheel, fire, whatever).

Madoka's wish was that she would be able to prevent Magical Girls from becoming witches, that being said, the same condition still applies with the old rule. The soul gems can still be corrupted to the point of witch transformation, it's just that Madoka purify/destroy the soul gems prior to becoming grief seed. The timeline that got restored in the ending seem fairly similar to the one where Mami went nuts and killed Kyoko before being killed by Madoka after Sayaka turned into a witch and Homura killed her, but in this timeline, Madoka didn't exist, and because the Magical Girls fate was just to disappear when the time is up, it didn't turn her quite as hysterical

She didn't "save" anyone, all she did was purify/destroy their soul gem at the last moment so they can die in peace instead of turning into witches and enact their resentment upon the world. As Homura mentioned on the 4th episode or so, the dead Puella Magi pretty much disappear from this world when they die on within the witch's barrier. While in ep 11 shows how Sayaka's body turned up somewhere according to the news, I personally think it's just a police coverup because between her turning into a witch and Kyouko nuking her, I doubt there'd be anything left of her even if the process of turning into witches doesn't eliminate the body in the first place

Sayaka turned into a witch, she didn't die in a witch's barrier, so her body-robot just ceases to have a soul controller since the gem/Sayaka turned into that witch. Remember, Homura, Kyoko and Madoka all gathered around Sayaka's dead body and Homura telling them they'd better hide the body or they'd be suspects.

The girls who Madoka first saved were on the verge of becoming witches, she stopped them 'before the witch was born' just like her wish verbatim. They died peacefully soon thereafter.

But yeah everything else is pretty much it, that last session with Sayaka is just her giving her the last minute closure, which probably what she does with every other Puella Magi she visited on their deathbed so that they can die in peace

I'm not entirely surprised that the show's quality spiked with the departure of Kirino, and turning My Little Sister into My Little Kuroneko Show.

Kuroneko provides substantial conflict and again her interaction were pure Gold(lol @Masturbatory work call out). she is easily the best character in series. I hope Kirino never comes back but she will next episode *Ugh*.

I hope it means The trailers will also be released on the net during or after the event. The Fate/Zero Promos look very similar to Kara no Kyoukai given who the Staff are. it's no surprise.
