Anime Thread. [Prob not 56k safe]

Toriko got an anime adaptation but I can't speak to the quality of either the manga or the animated series. But at least it has cooking! Or something...

I haven't really followed Toriko at all (I don't like the art style), but from what I've read about it, apparently the anime has been pretty terribad so far.

I'm putting it nicely when I say this but Toriko was a severe disappointment for me. I was hoping for it to be a strong comedy but it fell flat on its face. But then again, that's my opinion and I'm usually very unforgiving when it comes to my judgment for comedy anime. I'm sure some people who are more receptive of shounen manga/anime will like it, so if you like that type of stuff, then give it a try.

For who asked about Tiger and Bunny, it's like if superheroism was turned into a national sport. These people who act as superheros (I forget if they have innate powers) are sponsored by companies and get awesome suits and compete against each other for points in rescuing people/stopping crime,etc. The personalities of the superheros themselves are really good and interesting and the animation is great. Overall I'd say it's a solid show, especially if you're into superheros, though even if you're not (like me) it can be enjoyable.

It feel more like a reality show about super heroes then a national sport, but other than that, I agree. The personalities of the cast are very really well done, and because of this, the show is much more enjoyable than many other this season. Personally, it's my second favorite (first one is ano hana, third is C)

This was pretty much my identical opinion for Beelzebub. I really enjoy the Manga, had hopes that it would be a hilarious anime, and was severely disappointed as well, lol. Shitty animation, not even using reoccurring gags from the manga, and already doing fillers. The manga has over 100 chapters and the anime that's only 15 episodes in is already doing fillers. /lesigh.

From what I've gleaned using Google-Fu, it's a short film anime being used to promote NTT DOCOMO's Xi data service, the first LTE (4G) mobile network in Japan.

There is no DVD/BD release date for second Movie yet. if my memory serves me right. it took 17 months for first movie to be released on DVD/BD after it's movie primer.

For now it's movie short. The Project could become an anime the way they promoting it, but who really knows. I would love to. it has the Same Staff and most of the voices of the main characters from Eden of the East.

Google for Seanver Ore no Imouto novel spoilers. As far as I know theres no concerted effort to translate the novels, BakaTsuki might have a couple chapters done. The manga is an adaption of the novels but not sure how far along it is.

Is he trying to figure out how she died or just trying to honor her in some weird way? Either way this show is awesome and I love it.

was is Ano Hi #5 for you, when I watched it, it was labeled #4, same episode as you described.
Just picked up the show the other day and really enjoying it.

Couple thoughts went through my head..
1) Yukiatsu was actually in love with Menma, and might have been part of her death (she slipped in fell into the river, some time later after Jintan ran off from the clubhouse.) So Yukiatsu became a bit obsessed with Menma. Add in the fact that Menma came back to where Jintan can see her, but not Yukiatsu, that was hard hit too.
2) the less likely. While Yukiatsu was obsessed with Menma, he donned the dress, so the group was catch a glimpse of him (as her). Sort of like, let everyone remember her. Yukiatsu was shown jogging a lot and when Jintan was chasing him, I thought there was no way for Jintan to catch him.
