And in response to seeing Hitoru's signature, the last confrontation between Yoko and Kittan is just so very wrong in Gurren Lagann (unless there's more scenes in 27...) Kittan kisses Yoko unexpectedly, apologizes for it. Yoko says "It's something you wanted to do, right? Then there's nothing I could do about it." In regards to the context and topic that is a VERY WRONG thing for a woman to say, lol...

"It's what you wanted" was directed at the sacrifice he is about to make to save everyone. They all know he wont come back from this. There was nothing wrong with the kiss. Yuko knows he loves her, and it was a farewell gift to a friend she liked, but couldn't love because of Kamina.

Also they don't make a big deal out of every character's death. Patrick got alot of screentime and just ended up dying with the words "eh?". So its likely sarshes may be done for this part of the series but I'm sure hes not dead yet. Since Setsuna is probably going to still be the lead character and Ali is his protagonist.

Uh, they did show patrick being vaporized in his cockpit, and nothing left of his suit except the legs, that is enough emphasis on it. "Eh?" was a pretty fitting final word for an unimportant comic relief character such as he was.

I don't remember him being shown vaporized, but I do remember what's left of the suit. Also, the cockpit in the GN-X isn't where the cockpits are on normal mobile suits, and his cockpit looked to stay in tact. Oh well, we'll find out sooner or later.

Also, 08th MS Team holds a special place in my heart because it's not about an overpowering Super Gundam that can lay out an entire squad. (Kira, I'm looking at you.) Hell, a lot of Gundam series are now about overpowering Gundams that make grunts look like shit. 08th MS Team showed you what it's like for a regular squad and how teamwork really helps them out. The ending was good too in my opinion.

Right, however he could've likewise bent her over and stuck it in as a goodbye. Would her response still have been "it's what you wanted, so there's nothing I can do"? That's basically what I'm referring to...the idea that it's ok for a guy to do what he pleases physically with her because he wants to. In the context, yeah, it's ok, he's about to go sacrifice his life for her and the world, don't think too many would be opposed to that, but taking what was said outside of the big picture it's a questionable comment. I just find it funny, not sure if I explained why or not just now though...lol

See what I did here? <_> I seriously doubt this scene was meant to be taken out of context. It was very emotional and fitting end for Kittan. He told Yoko his love, knowing perfectly well she would not be able to accept it, and Yoko accepted it like a real friend would. Trying to dig any deeper would be overanalyzing this beautiful scene imo

I would like to say no, gundam aren't god if you watched it since UC series. Especiallly 08th MS, V gundams, and some more. Most of the gundam just alittle better than opposite fraction at the beginning, but usually at the second half part, enemy's mobile suit will catch up gundam's mobility.
