Anime Thread. [Prob not 56k safe]

Big gundam fan but I can't help to feel disappointed in gundam 00, the animation isn't really all that great. I thought the gundam are suppose to be the all might gods of moblesuits but these gundam's are weak as shit and there actually being killed Someone tell me i'm doing it wrong and that I'm missing something from this series.

The animation isn't great compared to the other gundam series? And beyond saying that you have terrible tastes, i'll just say instead you just have really different likings. By having the gundams be more "realistic" and less godly you make it possible to develope a more human and drama rich plot.

fucking lol, I suppose it could be worse but all those awesome and memorable scenes are gonna be ruined most likely. Well, not like I concern myself with the happenings of a dubbed show so it matters little to me.

Na your probably right I do tend to have terrible taste, maybe because wing was my first gundam series. Everything next too it just doesn't compare for me, and I hate needless death (lockon).

And while Clannad wasn't great (fuck that ending) I still enjoyed most of it. Besides, Kotomi's way to adorable not to love. I hope the second series is better. cause as it stands I wouldn't recommend the first half to anyone...

It wasn't really needless. It may infact play a large role in the upcoming episodes. 00 is by far the best animated(HD) and really has a good well thought out and executed story. No bullshit, just story and action. It also has just enough drama to make it entertaining in the same way that Code Geass had just enough drama just not to the Code Geass extreme, well the season isn't over yet so no real way to say that but yeah you get the point.

Clearly a lot. I haven't seen Black Lagoon in the US yet (Gonna watch it tonight), but it's rated TV-MA. Curious to see how edited it is.

Nah, with how many episodes there are and what not, if they removed an arc, it wouldn't be worth even using the series on [as]. There will probably be subtle changes like with E7. (There was one change with the whole arm, wedding ring on his finger, etc.. but still.) Adult Swim sucks ass anyway.

I wasnt too fond of the voices in jap, so I dont think the dub could be much worse. at least there wont be horrible engrish.

Quoting this post because I'm a moron. I somehow read Black Lagoon as Code Geass seeing as I was talking CG with someone else. Code Geass will be on [as], Black Lagoon is on STARZ Edge right now (started at 12:10) and there are two episodes. After that, their scheduling is a little odd. I think it replays Monday/Tuesday, then again on the 6th of next month. Not too sure. You can google STARZ Edge and find their schedule though.

Eh? Ending? The ending isn't until After Story ends, Ep 22 was just setting it up. Anyways, Clannad is pretty good, but the After Story is why it's the most popular and highest rated Visual Novel in Japan, even moreso than Kanon and Fate/Stay Night.

The Clannad Movie doesn't do it justice, it was just a half assed version of the ending.
