25 just got subbed recently right? Isn't 26 the last episode? Though like you, I'll be sad when it's over... Surprisingly emotional at the end with Joudan vs Chudan, epic scene. Bamboo Blade isn't really a comedy per se, it has it's typical anime moments that make you smile and some that make you laugh. But I kind of feel like it's a mix between a slice of life anime (concerning Kendo, so automatically more exciting and energetic) and a plot driven action anime. It has a nice balance and nice characters. Even the boring stereotype character that Tamaki is still manages to be interesting and adorable to watch, and she really develeops as a character which is always nice.

Good anime, I'd recommend it. Obligatory MEN!

And I started watching Shigofumi today, loving it so far (though the first episode had me gutted but the second one resolved it nicely). I like it so far, good art and animation, interesting characters (only 3 episodes in, so I dunno who's gonna reappear) and good writing. All around winner. Also, the intro is done by the same people who did Rozen Maiden right? Might be why Kaylia likes it so much

Yeah, the final ep was broadcasted today so subs should be out sometime this week. This, along with Kaiji are the only two shows of which I watch the RAW every week (well, plus that final ep of Gundam 00).

The final scene in the last ep definitely hints on a possible second season... I can only hope!

The first episode of the anime Bus Gamer came out today... its kinda like kaiji with fighting, this has some great potential.

Well, I generally call comedy everything that have light hearted content due to the lack of better way to describe it. I enjoyed first 2 episodes and planned to watch the rest, but I can't tell if the show will get more serious and emotional at the moment. Either way, I'm sure I will enjoy it since I loved the main characters.

I liked Ali project's openings for Rozen Maiden, but it was actually the soundtrack and background music I loved. Shigofumi's opening was correct, and grew up on me by the end of the series, but I didn't like it that much. I loved the show for the same reason you stated. Good art and animation, well written story, very emotional (especially ep2 and...9(?)). The show surprised me a few times, especially with the transition between episodes 2 and 3. It's not perfect, but it's definitively a must watch for anyone who want something emotional.

What? I liked both the movies! xD Ironic part was I tried the anime and it gave me one of those slow paced feels but I guess that was just the movies work. I did finish Gurren Lagann I just really didn't like how they ended it..It really kinda confused a good part of me so I went and saw the last few episodes a second time but I think I loved the begining way more than the ending.

If you liked Hayate and Lucky Star, give Bamboo Blade a shot! The main character is a huge otaku and one other member is a fujoshi :D

I've decided to watch Sayonara Zetsubo,Bamboo Blade and Shigofumi and I'll see which one I find the most interesting. : x Been having a bit of free time from classes lately so I got some extra free-time on my hands for more anime. :D

ok guys, i'm upset that most of the anime i watch are being licensed. does anyone know a site where i can stream licensed anime? like persona, dragonaut, etc.. i really don't wanna have to resort to bittorrent XD. any help apperciated!

Good luck, finding torrents of licensed anime is easier than finding streams. Most streaming sites wouldn't risk having licensed stuff up.

The irony being it's just as illegal to stream unlicensed stuff as it is to stream licensed stuff.

Streaming sites = AIDS, I can't believe people can stand to watch shit on them. Ugh.

Also, about Bus Gamer, I heard from a friend in Shinsen that it sucks (she's only watching it because she's subbing it). Take that as you will =(

Just saw an episode of Bamboo Blade and I liked it for the most part... except for the stupid fucking kid with the egghead..One thing I can't really stand about some animes were these "background" characters that just really pissed you off and made you always say 'Gee, couldn't they just get rid of him and use more time to show characters people actually enjoy?'

Seems a bit hasty but as another example I got the same vibe from the first time I saw Eureka's 'kids' and I never liked them since. xD Oh and I was totally thinking in my mind "kuzakendaro" (You gotta be friggin kiddin' me) in my mind right when you saw them say it at the egghead's girlfriend as well.

The manga is still ongoing at 8 volumes if anyone wants to check it out. Not sure how much the anime covers, not going to bother watching it.

Hayate episode 49 was finally subbed. Was an average episode, even if there was some good stuff here and there (gurren lagann reference is always a +).

So, I wonder when the internet at large is going to rip on HnG since it has so many references.
When most, not all people rip on those kind of anime, that's the number one thing they talk about... yet with this show I haven't seen it.

The second half of the series was really good... Too bad the first half was so bad. I wish they could balance the fighting and romance out a bit better. The second half basically restored a lot of my faith in the series.

Too bad they did another anime-only ending for Shana. Pretty sure they do it incase they won't do another season but the DVDs sell well enough where that shouldn't be an issue.

Second season got up to about Volume 16 so no new Shana for another 2 years I think while the novels get ahead, but they decided not to introduce the plot twist at the end of this season :<
