Yeah, I figured there would be some tragic ending and all. But I liked the way it turned out, neither girl wanted to give up or gave up. Kaname's (I think that's his name) response to Chiaki showing up late was priceless.

Supposedly they will finish it in the anime, based on some notes the mangaka left behind when she died.

I wouldn't judge R+V anime too harshly, I think they wanted to introduce all the characters in the first season, and ended up only having room for the first story arc from the manga. I'd withhold judgement until Season 2 which comes out in October, hopefully they start to follow the manga more closely.

As for Kanokon and To-love-ru, I like both the manga and hell it's only an hour each week so i'll watch both. What else is there to watch after the 3 serious shows anyways? (Code Geass R2, Macross, Vampire Knights)
