Both shows are based off awesome manga :DSo I watched both ToLoveRu and Kanokon...
I thought Kanokon was more interesting (it doesn't help that ToLoveRu was broadcasted in 4:3 >.>), but neither one really kept me as interested as Ninomiya-kun did.

I know a lot of people only pay attention to the new stuff, but i've been around for a while, and for those who haven't, there are still a ton of amazing series to watch, some like 10+ years old, and some more recent, no particular order, for those who wanted recommendations, movies/series/ovas.
- Fushigi Yuugi
- Fushigi no Umi no Nadia (Nadia of the Mysterious Seas)
- Martian Succesor Nadesico
- Seikai no Senki (Battleflag/Banner of the Stars)
- Juuni Kokki (The 12 Countries)
- Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
- Koko wa Greenwood (Here is Greenwood)
- Escaflowne
- 3x3 Eyes
- El Hazard
- Area 88
- Five Star Stories
- Giant Robo
- Kimi ga Nozomu Eien (The Eternity you Desire)
- Maho Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto (Somedays Dreamer: What's Important to a Magic User)
- Umi ga Kikoeru (I Can Hear the Sea, I liked this one a ton)
- Gunnm / Gunnm: Last Order (Well, It's mostly manga, but it's freakin awesome)
- Legend of Galactic Heroes (But I think this is really hard to find these days)
- Slam Dunk
- Marmalade Boy (not really a fan but too many people liked it)
- Heroic Legend of Arislan (Not really a classic or super amazing, but I really thought it was great when I first watched it)
I could probably go on, but those are the ones that really stand out to me. Of course there are many more popular things, but I thinke veryone knows them by now (Stuff like Kenshin, Bebop, etc) that I didn't list, and stuff that was pretty popular that i'm not super familiar with (City Hunter, Harlock/GE 999).
I just figured I'd post some of these older titles, mainly because I think for the most part they're better than the average stuff we see a lot today, or it could be because they just seemed much better when I was younger ^^
>_> Really need to stop editing in more titles.
Episode one was... ok I guess, may be my hopes waiting for some ecchi scene to happen after that bathroom scene...Originally Posted by Noobta

Probably be decent action later in the series.
It's a shoujo show, so don't expect any ecchi lol :D But there could be some yaoi!Originally Posted by Gulkeeva
hm.. not sure but supposely kanokon should be from novel, isn't it? or it only has manga before the animation ?Originally Posted by Man0warr
and fucking mnemosyne ep3, don't watch it public
I thought Vampire Knight was ok, but then again I'm a sucker for Vampire related things so I'm probably giving it more credit than it's worth. Looks like it'll be pretty low key/slow paced but I'll give it a chance. If the main cast don't annoy me within the first 15minutes then that's a good sign.
Yeah, Novel->Manga->AnimeOriginally Posted by Osede

Just watched Special A. It was actually pretty good! :D
Yeah I liked Special A too.
I just rewatched Kanokon and after reading the manga I realized that half the episode was a flashback to chapter 1 of the manga, but the first half of the episode is several days? afterwards. Worst flashback transition ever, didn't even notice it at first.

I didn't realize Clannad ep24 was going to be set in alternate reality so they can finish Tomoyo's route!

Just spent the last couple hours reading Please Save My Earth . It was pretty long, 21 volumes(version I have is 12, 300~ pages each), but was worth it. Probably only shoujo I would ever reread next to Kare Kano

I did get a chance to watch Special A and VK- I thought VK was okay... I really enjoyed Special A, but I'm a sucker for shows like that. >.> I wanna watch Kurenai but for some reason the mkv I got just won't cooperate with me... and I've tried on like 2 different players. :/ Oh well...
