Only thing that stuck out to me was “Hannah Montana meets Heroes” which didn't really bother me that much seeing as they always do that shit.

If it was something else I was supposed to see... I didn't see it.

What are some of the new spring anime that everyone is watching?

Not a new anime, but I've just started watching The Twelve Kingdoms. Been pretty good so far, the storytelling is really nice. One of the main characters is really annoying in the first few episodes (first 5 or so), but she gets a lot better after that and the anime picks up pretty fast.

Not sure if that was a sarcastic comment or not but .mkv's always tend to take up more space, for some reason I have to put default subs which are like pure white or usually these crappy hard to read pre-set ones that I can't change. I don't see why how .mkv is superior to .avi, oh and to top it off it sometimes crashes my VLC media player in the middle of an episode for no apparent reason.

.mkv's seem smaller to me and they play on my Windows Media Player anyway. Granted, it doesn't matter if they are smaller in the regular quality. I <3 my HD versions.

My problem is more like... softsub vs hardsub. I don't care whether it's avi or mkv, make it hardsub and I'm happy. Triad does this with Kaiji and I just re-mux (and only have to re-encode the audio to be PS3 compatible)

Right now I just re-encode mkvs into mp4s to stream to the PS3, but it takes like an hour and a half for each video...

Tell me about it, I'll give you an example of shitty subs if you saw Soul Eater's. I mean you literally ask yourself what the fuck the guy was thinking when he choose those type of subs. I swear I can't even go too far without squinting my eyes into oblivion and having to scoot over more and more. One thing is if they pick like pure white letters that can't be read half the time but it's not bad enough that you can't put up with it, but I'm considering waiting for other people to sub Soul Eater so I can actually watch it without having to put myself infront of the computer monitor.

I understand .mkv is cool and all for the custom subs and stuff but I don't ever remembering having "sub difficulties" when downloading avi files. Plus DivX just kicks the shit out of every other player in my opinion..

I generally don't download mkv because usually they are large resolution hence take up more space. HD is nice and all but I don't need it to enjoy the show.
