Did the companies decide they want to jump the shark today and make their episodes WTF to holy shit awesome?

The Legend of the Legendary Heroes Ep3 was bloody awesome, you think HOTD has gore? Just watch episode 3.....

Whoa. Where’d this come from? The humor was essentially gone from this episode, but in its place was bloodshed rivaling Total Recall levels. From Ferris’ brother beheading the captive to the start, to the magic knights evil clowns cutting up Sion’s entire troop compliment to Lyner exploding heads, this was… a very bloody and intense episode. A lot of the gore was pretty censored as just chunks of black bodies on a red background, but there were certainly servered heads rolling about too. Zexcs finally managed to step up to the plate here and get both the focus and the intensity right and the episode was really good for it.

If Shiki episode 2 isn't better than 1, I blame you Ker. I wanted to like it, but the first episode was uninteresting. I hope it gets better (and more focused, am I supposed to care about EVERY character here?)

mm second episode continues the setup of the series. and if i can describe it's like Durarara and Baccano with no main lead were it will jump between characters on each episode, then it will connect by the end. it's a slow moving plot, unlike Durarara or Baccano they are crazy over the top characters, this does not.

Regardless of my personal enjoyment of it. if you don't like it after episode 2, then it's your opinion, different people with different tastes.

It was planned from the start to be a 12 episode series, but cause of funding problems and Scheduling it was delayed. here the ANN artical

The planned 12-episode anime series of "real and fierce combat by cute and fluffy animals" updates the manga's premise by making the three soldiers part of a modern private military company. In the first episode, the three attempt to rescue hostages, but end up surrounded by guerrillas demanding the withdrawal of United States Armed Forces in the area.

Not in the slightest. Not like it'll be some super special awesome revelation... I don't get that shit at all. So Ookami 3 was good, narrator is still a douchebag who insists on pointing out the absolute obvious (I'm used to children's cartoons treating the audience like retards, but jesus this is bad), but the good stuff was still good. Didn't see a lot of character development or progress (at least for anyone who matters), but the smeer campaign was pretty sweet.

Oh yeah, Cat Shit One was everything I wanted it to be and more. So fucking epic, especially the slow-mo/bullet time sections.

Edit 2: Occult 1 was pretty great, gotta love dem expressions.

Bakuman seems like it's going to end soon, so I wonder if the anime is gonna cover it all in one season. Would be awesome.

I didn't hear it anywhere. Just read the manga. It seems pretty obvious that it's going to end soon. Not like 5 chapters soon, but before the anime ends.
