Running in low temps is great, sometimes the best as long as you wear something over your mouth. If not then you will end up sick enough to die.

    Running is my life.

Exactly, I grew up in Michigan where I was pretty much FORCED to take it though. So in the end it is something you get used to.

No, he is kind of sexy.

Sometimes I rue my love for swarthy skinned, hairy men with black hair and dark eyes- it gets me nothing but trouble and heartache. >_>

^ this. I used to do 13 miles a day of jogging/running/sprinting cross country or in the gym before I moved. I miss those days.

Of course he's good looking. Middle Eastern men are a pretty good sight for sore eyes. In fact, Septimus, you should go visit Saudi Arabia or Turkey (preferably) if you want your fill of hairy, sweaty, hot Middle Eastern men.

You'd be surprised how much more "open minded" they are there lol.

Actually, ME women are pretty good looking to, generally i mean, too bad most of them are uptight when not on shisha and smuggled alcohol.

That is entirelly too much running. Surprised you aren't sidelined with overuse injures a lot.

I'm very lean and tall, so its much easier to carry my weight running long distances. Plus alongside running cross country/soccer/track in high school were always my niche.

I've never had an injury related to exercising, or running in my life. Unless you want to count a potassium deficiency which is my fault lol. I've never had sore legs/etc. unless I skimped on drinking less than 5-6 bottles of water a day + the typical food regime.

But yeah, I haven't did any of that in almost a year now. Maybe sometime next year again when things slow down lol.

I'm 6'0 and 132lbs (usually bulk up to 140ish on race days), but I don't run near that, and I'm typically pretty competitive in my age group. I do one, maybe 2 10+ mile runs a week. In the week or two before a hm/m I won't even do one. 3, maybe four days a week of running and a couple of days of cross. Unless you are doing it for another sport, like soccer or something, 13 miles a day, everyday is just junking too many miles, no need for anything near that for marathon/hm training, especially if you are keeping yourself in shape in other ways.

When I first started running (and i didn't run any in high school competitively, track never even crossed my mind), I had a ton of injuries. Groin injuries, MCL sprains, shin splint, etc and so on. Now, it isn't so bad unless I just throw myself wrecklessly into a race with little preparation.

i had to run 5 miles a day while i was in the army and hated every second of it...now that i'm training and fighting i run only sprints to keep my cardio up/weight down. i do 90/180's for a half hour each day and that's more than enough to keep my cardio up. i'm also around 210-220 when i'm not gearing towards a fight. (i fight at 170) gearing towards 5 minute rounds of anaerobic fighting with 1 minute rest periods is much different from doing a 10 mile aerobic run though, i just couldn't do what you do. my knees hate me enough from being in the army...let alone that kind of pounding. XD

Rotating sprints and long runs is extremely good for overall endurance. One of the three-four days a week of running I do are doing various timed sprints over various distances (some as long as 2000m). I used to do continuous long run after long run after long run, then found a nice mix that involved less running with more benefit. I plateau'd after doing long run after long run and didn't get a whole lot of improvement. Started sprints and stationary biking and a few other various things, and I improved again.

yeah, i've kind of plateau'd on 90/180's right now...i want to try 120/180 or 90/90's at least...but can't seem to overcome. i'm 500 miles from my coach at the moment though and we're trying to find some things i can do with limited help to break through this. i've heard olympic sprinters/wrestlers say that 120 seconds is the max you can sprint in one shot...any more than that and you're not sprinting anymore...i'd like to find out. i still do a 3 mile jog once a week on my off day just as a relaxation exercise.

my wrestling drills are all anaerobic as well, so i feel my condition is excellent...but i want to be light years ahead of anyone i fight.
