Yeah. Played a benefit concert at the Berkley Cafe a month or two ago actually.

We'll definitely be playing in Raleigh again. We just have some downtime at the moment to take care of some things.

lol. I use finger picking, slap, or a pick. Predominantly finger picking. Depends on what tone I want. Sometimes the attack from using a pick fits the overall sound better. Limiting yourself to one tone is doing it wrong

And the stereotype for black bass players being better came more so from the amazing jazz/blues bass players of old who were almost exclusively black. The rhythm stereotype evolved much, much later.

Edit: Gotta say though, forearm ink is pretty sick. Where'd you get the idea for that one?

Sat down with my tattoo artist and we just went through different freehand designs until we came up with something I liked.

It's also just the first part to the overall piece. We've got it all mapped out, but I just haven't had the money to go back yet. It's going to eventually become a full sleeve that will connect with the tat on my neck and continue up the right side of my skull, then continue down my ribs all the way to my foot. So I'll have just 1 piece on the entire right side of my body. Leaving the left side clean. Kind of a two-face idea. Go big, or go home. I can't stand it when people have 7 or 8 little shitty tattoos that they try to tie in together after the fact. It almost never works.

Messenger of Hope. I'm a road musician with them. I just play keyboard at shows, or fill in on bass or whatever needs to be done. Sig has a link.

They're in the studio getting some fresh recordings done. Should definitely check out "3 Tides," on there before it gets scrapped for a new version. They had Mitch (the guitar player from Filter) sit in on that recording.
