The military is pretty gay actually. A lot of the soldiers do gay porn specifically for gay men who love gay soldiers having sex with each other.

I think they're given an allowance for uniforms, but the allowance doesn't cover the full cost of maintaining and upgrading uniforms.

You get an allowance for maintaining uniforms, but no, it doesn't cover the costs. Just for the new cammies, buying two sets (shirt and pants only) and the parka is $400. That doesn't include everything else you need to buy, and since the cammies have black undershirts instead of white, thats a whole new setup one needs. The marine working uniforms are also a complete buyout, since you can't use any parts of CNTs or johnny cashes. So yeah, its an expensive rollout.



And yes, generally speaking, Navy will always be associated with gay. Really hard to compare 120 men living in a penis underwater for months as anything but. Those of us on the top of the water aren't in a much better position. *coughcough* Back on my last deployment in 2005 when we had a group of professional cheerleaders come on board for a few days they needed MA/Marine escort/crowd control, heh.

Don't forget the Army and the Marines. They're full of gays too. In fact, I've slept with more Army guys than any of the other military branches. Of course, I like my soldiers butch and aggressive. The Navy guys alway I've been with seemed kind of twinkish. I can't speak for the Air Force as I haven't slept with any of them (yet).
