Well its winter in NYC so my Hibernation time has arrived

When someone's beard gets that long, do they use shampoo on it? (sincere question, lol)

I do, and I don't even have a full beard, just a short-trimmed goatee. Keeps it from getting tangled, stiff, and nasty smelling. Plus, goatee dandruff all over the place under your chin doesn't help, either.

yurp I use shampoo on my beard as well, also use one of those really bristley brushes to make sure I get it really good.

2. It gets too friggin' itchy. Oh and i get spotty.

Beards are somewhat fashionable again in North America, as they have been for the last two years or so. Not to mention that I bet there's a lot of people on here who just don't like shaving that much or, like me, get ingrown hairs and crap so having a beard - even a trimmed one, helps a bit.

Hes right. Although I dont wear a beard, I dont shave to the skin. I keep a noticable fuzz on my face. I wish I could grow a beard and have it look right, but it just looks bad on me.
