Trying to grow a beard. Round 39857394809834!!

(I always shave it because I get impatient that it doesn't grow in full enough or its too itchy!)

After a while the itching stops. Just be patient with it, I used to see guys with full grown beards and think I could never do it. I had a pretty rockin beard in about 1 month and a half, if that. Just keep it trimmed unless you don't care what people think about it.

Also, do you trim your mustache? I don't know if you like it or not but I think if you leave the mustache to connect to your beard it has an overall better look. Another thing is to always keep your beard the same size trim unless you are growing the goatee part longer. Then you need to keep it to where it looks nice and clean and not just you wake up every morning and decide not to keep the outline you originally want.

If you look at this picture, this was kinda early in my beard growing phase. The hair on my cheek could grow hair fairly easy but it wasn't as thick as I wanted. So I just completely got rid of it. I don't like the whole beard look without the mustache connecting to it either. And as I stated earlier your beard will look a WHOLE LOT better if you keep it trim. I usually did the same size from the top of my head until the actual goatee part. Sometimes though I would let my hair grow out long and just keep the part from my ear to goatee same length. It is just all preference.

Oh also, it is hard to really hinder the growth I guess? I assume when you say growth you mean fullness. You are not going to get fullness of a beard unless you let it grow long to where it curls or if you just have naturally a lot of hair. That is why I shaved my cheeks. Another good rule of thumb is to shave on your neck where you natural line is where the bottom of your jaw meets your neck.
