I had a nose piercing once, about 9-10 years ago, but it was only then that I developed an allergy to anything but stainless steel in me Even though I'd been wearing earrings since I was 13! Anyway it fulfilled its purpose (to freak out my grandma) and so it came out, and now you'd never know I had it I always wanted to get a tongue piercing but because I play flute it was never to be. So now I'm stuck with no piercings, though I occasionally re-pierce my ears by shoving earrings into them for special occasions (they never really close over, but my allergy comes into play if I wear earrings full time).

My mum is like you... she can't wear anything but pure metals for extended periods >.<;; My left ear has always been very sensitive indeed but it's behaving itself for now. I have 4 piercings in my left ear, 2 in my right, a navel piercing and then that little lip piercing.
