The military is the biggest socialist program the US has. It's an escape valve so you have a place to put all your dumb and poor, so they don't go off stealing and annoying someone rich and important.

You know, it's 100% correct until it comes to the legitimate threat portion. You honestly believe without a baller ass military like ours, we would be left the fuck alone? Every country that dislikes us would be trying to overthrow us.

Did you know that the people in NK starve because almost all of the resources in the country are siphoned off into the military? Sounds eerily familiar.

I think it's important to note the connection between America being the lead country in consumption of psychiatric medicine, and the belief that the US is in so much danger from enemy attack that it has to spend more than then the entire world combined on the military.

What country would overthrow us, exactly? We have a seriously major advantage when it comes to defending ourselves..Atlantic between us and Europe/Africa/Near East, Pacific between us & Asia. We share borders with a whopping two countries, neither of which would or could invade. And no country has even close to the necessary Naval capabilities to overthrow or invade us. And wtf are they going to do exactly, travel across half the world to invade us, somehow overthrow a country with 300 million people, and then rule it? lol

And yeah, I joined the military at 18 because I gave up on life and accepted sucking the teat from 'tax payers' because I didn't want a 'real job'.
