its a good tv, what i dont like atm is that its a 40" 1080p, but my cable box highest support is 1080i and it scrunches up the screen (as seen in pic) to just the little box instead of full screen

I was at ASU for 3 1/2 years, but I just transferred up to Northern Arizona University in January... and that's where I'll be heading back to in the fall. Flagstaff > Tempe.

Living in the dorms? I lived in Phoenix until I was 19 then moved to Virginia for 3 years. I'm moving back to AZ in 3 weeks and I got an apartment in Flag on lake mary road.

No cable company can go above 1080i due to bandwidth limitations afaik.

Actually..... I don't live in the dorms. I live at the end of lake mary road where it turns into University Heights Dr. lol. So we'll be real close. Lake Mary road is also the road I drive on a few times to go to the Pit and Priest Draw, which are the main rock climbing areas in Flagstaff. Flagstaff is awesome dude, you'll love it, welcome back to AZ

No it doesn't.

For starters, i = Interlaced p = Progressive
Secondly, a 1080 res is not the same as a 720 res.

720p and 1080i

Progressively scanned high definition video tends to have a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels, normally referred to as "720p", where the "p" stands for progressive. Likewise, “1080i” is interlaced video with a frame size of 1920 by 1080 pixels. Interlacing is actually a form of compression. Offsetting the two fields making up a frame by half a frame's duration, halves the total amount of information needed to transmit or store the video. Uncompressed interlaced high definition video generates around a gigabit per second. Without interlacing, the rate would be twice that.

People who lived in Flagstaff, what's the best ISP to get out there? My apartments suggest Cablevision but I've never heard of them before.
