Do any of you with this gorget have BLU leveled to 8? If so could you please sub it and see if metalic body gets a boost from wearing the gorget? What I really care about is if it works for Diamondhide, but I'm betting that if it works for Metalic Body, it should work for Diamondhide. (If you're on Asura I'd be happy to help. We can go out to altepa and I'll bring myself + pet + npc to lessen 1000 needles damage for test.)

We've had horrible luck with the drop rate from the final NM; something like 0/5. I can't imagine we went without a THF, but that was rather a long time ago.

The item itself is a straight Stoneskin+30 it seems, which does break the cap on stoneskin based on some cactaur tests I did after I got it.

I'm glad I have it, and it is a fun toy but it really is the definition of "Inventory-1"
Occultation is 28 shadows, fucking annoying. Been doing pop NMs for my CoP group. Not sure that 28 is the exact number, but it's definitely more than 12.

Strangely enough I don't mind salvage though, kinda hypocritical considering they both have artificial limitations set.
I think the differenec with salvage is you know that the artificial limitations are temporary, so part of what keeps you (and me) excited is that you keep killing mobs in anticipation of unlocking certain limitatinos. Anyway, the limitations are always quickly disposed of in Salvage, at least for the most part you're up and running in 20 minutes.

With more level scaling gear and practical storage, lv cap areas would actually be a fairly fun change of pace, and an occasion to use jobs you haven't taken to 75 yet. Some jobs are certain levels are insanely powerful (RNG at 30) while others are almost completely useless at the same level (BLM at 30).

If you could actually store full sets of good cap gear, I'd go back to a few of them fairly often for the NMs/farming/soloing, but its already an ordeal just managing inventory for my lv75s, so level cap tends to mean "get RSE out of storage and wear that regardless of job" time.

It would be nice if you could get items to uncap yourself in level capped zones. But then it wouldn't be such a swirling cesspool of misery.

I enjoyed Promy zones despite the requisite 45 minutes of muling it took to prepare for them. As Nagamaki mentioned, it let you play jobs that you didn't have at 75, so you often got to do things with friends in different roles than you're used to. Also, 3 levels of merit upgrades were active in them so you could be uber lv30's.

Can anyone with this gorget give it a whirl with metallic body or diamondhide on blu or /blu? Just curious if it works.

It might not be so miserable even if you could merit level caps. Being able to bring an rdm41 into a 40 cap area would make a lot of them easier, though I suppose even +3 doesn't help 30 cap much. I could see definite benefits to 20 (beetle), 40(refresh/voyager), 50(ice gauntlets :D), and 60(amemet+1) cap though...
