Amazing Dreams?

Two nights ago.. I dreamt someone stole my Wii... and last night.. I was shot in the back with a shotgun, but from far enough away it wasn't instantly fatal; I died later... sigh.

I've had some strange dreams... very strange.

One night, I had a dream where I was working back in my original store, (I work for a grocery chain, moved stores about 2 years ago, blah blah.)

Across the street, I heard an explosion, so I ran to the window to find a nursing home in ruin, (no I don't hate old people.) The whole store panicked of course, so we all retreated to a safe spot- strangely enough my grandmother's house.

The streets were vacant. It looked like a ghost town. Periodically I would pop my head above the bottoms of the windows to look out. So out of the blue, and I have no fucking idea why, I see Osama bin Laden flying around on the green goblin glider throwing pumpkin bombs at the buildings around my grandmother's house.

I woke up and said, "What in the fuck?"

Kinda strange

Also, I had a dream where a group of terrorists took all of the people I work with and I hostage in my store. We had to live there for like 2 weeks. Not all bad considering it's a grocery store. we're forced to sleep on pallets, and one night I slept next to Oprah (sp?) and she talked in her sleep about her book club.

There's tons more like that, but I can't think of them at the moment.

edit- I would also like to say for the record that I have never done drugs, and I don't drink. lol

That happens to me too, the getting dream/reality mixed up. Kinda like a delayed deja vu type thing. I dunno.

Pshycological studies of this kind of thing would lead me to believe you voted for (or would if you could have) Bush.

Wasn't old enough to vote in 2000 and voted for Kerry in 2004.

Honestly, I didn't want to vote either way in either election, but I felt obligated to not throw my vote to a 3rd party candidate so...

Interesting, something like 85% of people that were asked to think about death, and/or what their death would be like or what would happen to them when they died, if asked shortly after would choose Bush.

Compared to somewhere around 70% of people that were asked to think about something pleasant chose Kerry.

The cross-association of this would dictate that you are afraid of losing that which is familiar and safe to you. Maybe you had lots of friends at your old store? It seems as if your grandmother may mean a great deal to you and you feel safe and secure no matter what is going on around you (in this case, Bin Laden posing as the Green Goblin... if you read comics you perceive this as him being a terrorist akin to the insanity that is the Green Goblin... if you watched the movie and hated the movie version of the Goblin then you perceive Bin Laden to be a comical waste of time hence the reason you felt safe).

I think this is indicative of your belief that the entire country is under equal threat of terrorism.

In short, I believe you are very afraid of the threat future terrorism might pose for you and your loved ones (or the entire country, if you care that much).

Am I very afraid of terrorism? Not especially. Despite having some issues with the current administration I have faith in our ability to at least defend ourselves, (save a few unfortunate airplanes,) and in our country. There's really nowhere else I'd rather be.

Honestly, I'm surprised you're focusing more on the terrorism aspect of it and the more absurd idea of Osama Bin Laden flying around in the Green Goblin glider. I mean c'mon. haha

That's why it was plastered all over the media.

When it made a dramatic shift from "zomg everyone's gonna die CODE ORANGE CODE ORANGE!!" to "wtfing hell is going on in Iraq?!?!" the power shifted, just as the people behind it all knew it would if they weren't able to keep it focused on terrorism. Which, of course, without more terrorist attacks, they could not.

That's why there will be at least one major terrorist attack in the next year and a half, which will get Guilianni elected.

I have similar things happen like that. Not quite as vivid as having a dream about X happening then it happening, but more like some sort of precognitive blurry idea of something happening. Usually I can't make it out, but it's often so freaky that I wake up in a cold sweat practically panting or yelling in my sleep.

Some examples would be like- the days my great grandfather died, great grandmother died and my grandfather died.
My mom told me I was yelling and screaming in the middle of the night before 9/11 and I honestly don't remember any of it, (I was 16 at the time.)

I don't entirely believe in ESP or anything, it's just kind of odd.

So I thought I had this nightmare tonight where I was getting beat down and then wake up and then go back to sleep, then have the same dream again.


Turns out my wife was messing with me by hitting me until I almost wake up, then comforts me til I go back to sleep and repeats... ;_;

I shouldn't have told her about that one day I was going to mess with her like that ._.

I dreamt I was doing Nyzul Isle IRL last night, except it was in a horror setting in dark hospital corridors with flickering lights and horror movie monsters. My party consisted of people from my RL and changed for every floor. Most objectives involved finding keys to lock up doors. We missed a key one time and someone went back to grab it and got killed. Oh, and I had my knee/heel injury back from 10 years ago that made me unable to run properly(hi salvage), so I was the hopeless weak link. Even my mom outran me.

And then inbetween the runs there was this room where crap porno movies were shown on like 10 different monitors and people I know IRL acted really weird. Help me Freud
