I don't remember most of my dreams about 1 hour after I wake up. I remember having a couple of vivid dreams when I was about 14 though. Nothing too interesting. A wedding and a giant metallic eye. The eye reminded me of what I think the statue of liberty's eyes look like up close.

When I was a little kid I used to have a really weird reoccuring dream where I'd get smashed by a giant pin-coushin shaped like a tomato while in the middle of a football stadium.

I don't even need to be falling in the dream to get that feeling when I wake up. Sometimes I feel like I'm in a car that's slightly accelerating when I wake up too.

What happens to me right when I wake up is always stranger than what happens to me in dreams. I've woken up and been unable to control anything but breathing and blinking. It freaked me out when it happened to me the first time, when I was maybe 8 years old. I tried to yell for help, but couldn't make more than a "mmmmmph" sound.

The second time it happened was this week. I woke up, unable to move, and stranger yet I could hear a woman singing country music right behind me. Wasn't a bad singer, but I don't really care for country. Was the second time this month I've woke up to the sound of that song though. It has to be in my head, since there's no room for a radio or a speaker behind me. I can't even remember the lyrics, other than one line: "...don't want to sleep in the devil city".

That line always freaks me out when I "hear" it for some reason. I'm counting it as me being half-asleep though.

Yeah, you're actually just still dreaming while awake. It happens occasionally

Across the street, I heard an explosion, so I ran to the window to find a nursing home in ruin, (no I don't hate old people.) The whole store panicked of course, so we all retreated to a safe spot- strangely enough my grandmother's house.

The streets were vacant. It looked like a ghost town. Periodically I would pop my head above the bottoms of the windows to look out. So out of the blue, and I have no fucking idea why, I see Osama bin Laden flying around on the green goblin glider throwing pumpkin bombs at the buildings around my grandmother's house.
The cross-association of this would dictate that you are afraid of losing that which is familiar and safe to you. Maybe you had lots of friends at your old store? It seems as if your grandmother may mean a great deal to you and you feel safe and secure no matter what is going on around you (in this case, Bin Laden posing as the Green Goblin... if you read comics you perceive this as him being a terrorist akin to the insanity that is the Green Goblin... if you watched the movie and hated the movie version of the Goblin then you perceive Bin Laden to be a comical waste of time hence the reason you felt safe).

[quote:b1d8c]Also, I had a dream where a group of terrorists took all of the people I work with and I hostage in my store. We had to live there for like 2 weeks. Not all bad considering it's a grocery store. we're forced to sleep on pallets, and one night I slept next to Oprah (sp?) and she talked in her sleep about her book club.
I think this is indicative of your belief that the entire country is under equal threat of terrorism.

In short, I believe you are very afraid of the threat future terrorism might pose for you and your loved ones (or the entire country, if you care that much).[/quote:b1d8c]

it reminds you of your fathers penis, ja
