I think I read about it on Fark many moons ago. Apparently when the crew was some distance away, pulling the cables that pully the posts up, there was a moost fucking around them and got caught and pulled up there with them and no one noticed until it was too late and not worth pulling the whole thing down for one already fucked up moose.

Couldn't they feel that the wire was a little tight?

Prolly not when they have many many many yards of wire over a large distance, it already feels extremely tight from the pure weight.

I believe the tension was higher than usual so they went and found the problem.
