Doubt you'd ever get to a point where you're comfortable taking quake 2.

Melee WSes interrupt his spells very easily though, have your melees save tp for the big spells (Stonega 3, Breakga, Quake 2 etc) and he won't get much off

    /obvious

I was pretty consistent with Head Butts stunning around 1/4 of spells. Got a few breakgas and stonegas. But yeah WS are very good for stopping its magic.

Faith is so much easier with less people, don't even bring a pld.

Did faith with 6 a few times, but relic shield helped. He only uses quake 2 when he 2hrs, just save rampart for then. Hes pretty easy otherwise, just have lots of refresh and make sure your damage is ranged. (i.e. smn, rng, blm) Relic guns nice against him, almost no hate return.

when kiting, all I had to do was run out of of range. I would just run to the oppisite side that he was casting from. if he casts from the center of one of the side, either run out of the room or to one of the oppisite corners. almost all his spells can be out-run except for Slowaga and breakaga on occasion.
Either that or the melee were inturpting his casting everytime. eitherway i never really had a problem with him besides the occasional Breakaga>StoneIV/QuakeII.

Yup, with w.legs you can outrun nearly any of his spells.

Stonega III should not be getting off. Breakga is a non-issue with a smart WHM or two. As with any kite fight, let the fight flow. If you are tank, do not just Provoke constantly - Provoke has short range, and a tank running in and voking when the mob isn't casting tends to be how his stuff gets off. Plus, 3-4 smart BLM with a RDM or two should be able to control the fight and tear him apart, anyway.

Just straight tank it. Keep all your damage ranged and make sure you have good refresh. Leave a whm mule back to stona the pt whm if he gets caught. The fights pretty easy.

Use a Ninja and straight-tank it. I can't tell you how much I hated doing JoFaith with my last LS because they insisted on doing it in the worst way possible (ie. kite it with PLD/WAR while people try to melee it and whenever a non-tank pulls hate the assclam manages to get the Stonega III to land on the people in the healing corner, and there are a lot of them because everyone died at least 5 times it this way.)

With even a small amount of Stone resist and at least 1350 HP you can eat a single-target Stonega III all day long. Oh and don't forget Summoner pets too if you LS is so inclined.

Straight tank it, have attentive WHMs, and a few good melees.

You'll rip it a new one.

Not sure if it's a serious question, but basicly for a mob that high lvl you need at least earth+150 with barstonera from a whm with AF2 pants and merits and a brd carole with carol+2 instrument for hit +300 stone for a 80%+ resist rate on his spell.

Again i don't think it worth build a resist for earth, even if you tank Ouryu often, magic dmg taken - % (mermaid earing, mermans ring, ressesment cape, defending ring, aegis, shadow ring, ...) with magic defense bonus stuff (lamia kaman, ...) and save rampart is from my tanking experience the way to go.

Main reason is with a earth +300 resist set, you will not have a 100% resist rate sadly, so you will occasionally eat aga3 or quake2 for full dmg, while magic dmg taken - % set work always the same and is 100% reliable

Be sure to have shell, and more than 1300 HP and this set work fine for baha v2 gigaflare, Ultima CB, ...
